'There is Still Hope Somewhere'

There is still hope somewhere

You have to work hard and find it

There is still hope somewhere

You just have to try it

There is still hope somewhere

I was bullied and found my hope

There is still hope somewhere

I was on a slippery slope

There is still hope somewhere

Even when someone says you have no friends

There is still hope somewhere

I know you want your life to end

There is still hope somewhere

Even if someone says you don’t belong

There is still hope somewhere

Even if things go wrong

There is still  hope somewhere

Even if someone says you’re not worthy

There is still hope somewhere

Just do not worry

There is still hope somewhere

Even if someone says you can’t interact

There is still hope somewhere

Speak up - tell them how to act

There is still hope somewhere

I was teased and pushed around

There is still hope somewhere

But no more, I stand my ground

There is still hope somewhere

You can speak up, I did too

There is still hope somewhere

I believe in you

Mandi POV

I found this poem on my bedroom floor. It must have dropped from Rebecca's notebook. I can tell who it is about just by looking at the first line. It's about her.

My sister has a wild imagination where she likes to pretend she is another person writing to herself. Like sometimes she writes poems to herself from Zac. But I know who this is from.

It's from me.

Whenever she is sad about a bully or any drama that happened during the day I always tell her, "There is still hope somewhere."

I was bullied too, but I guess I'm more confident than Rebecca. I had this three-year bully who teased me and pushed me around, I stood up by saying,"Do you think what you are saying to me is necessary? Are you aware you are hurting my feelings? Well, stop."

Rebecca can't do that. She can't speak to people. She can really only speak to me, Zac, Zac's cousin Emma, and Rebecca's best friend Claire.

I wish that she could be confident and let her voice be heard.
