"Hera said she does not want us living together." Sabine said sadly.

"Okay... so now what?" I asked Sabine.

"I don't know." Sabine replied turning away from me.

Her head was down and she rubbed her forearms like she was cold. I walked up to her and wrapped my arms around her. She turned and we held each other for a short while.

"We will figure something out Sabine." I said trying to sooth her as we let go of each other.

Before the conversation continued Kanan walked through the hallway and told us to get ready. Me and Sabine said nothing more and quietly gathered our stuff before heading out.

When we were in position Sabine took her speeder, which had a canister of rhydonium, and drove it up the main road leading to the tower. She jumped off of it at the last second, crashing the speeder and explosives into one of the anti-aircraft cannons. Me, Kanan, Chopper, and Zeb soon followed on our own speeders and joined Sabine in the fight. Zeb charged the gunner on the other anti-aircraft cannon and took it for himself. Sabine and Chopper moved into the tower to install the data spike. Kanan and I stood outside the tower to buy Sabine more time.

It was not long until the Imperials were moving in on us. It was faster than we anticipated. It was almost like they knew we were coming.

"Go get Zeb! We have to change the plan." Kanan ordered me.

I did as he asked and got Zeb from the anti-aircraft cannon.

"Specter 5. You need to be done with that data spike." Kanan said over the comlink.

"You said I got 3 minutes!" Sabine argued.

"Well you now have one." Kanan told her.

Kanan was acting strange. Sabine came barging out the door but Kanan grabbed her.

"Change of plan. You four take the next lift to the top of the tower." Kanan ordered.

"But what about you Kanan?" I asked.

"I will just take the next one up." Kanan replied with a reassuring smirk.

When we got up to the top I ran out the opening doors to look over the edge. When I did I saw Kanan and the Grand Inquisitor in a heated battle. I watched as Kanan was out maneuvered and slammed against the base of the tower with a force push. As I watched in horror, an Imperial troop transport flew up beside us. Sabine quickly dispatched some of the troopers, but there was to many. We were caught. Nowhere to run.

A cannon shot came out of the clouds and with it the 'Phantom'. Hera shot down the troop transport and opened the rear hatch so we could jump in. Chopper was the first one inside followed by Sabine and then Zeb. I stood frozen and torn. I did not want to leave my master but I did not want to be captured. Imperial Tanks fired at the 'Phantom' from below.

"I can't leave him!" I shouted.

Kanan must have felt my resistance to leave him through the force.

"Specter 2. Get Specter 6 and get out of here!" He yelled through the comlink.

Hera was in tears. How could she leave the one she loved.

"I can hold this position a little longer!" She lied.

"Just go!" Kanan said before his communication when dead.

I reluctantly jumped aboard the 'Phantom' and Hera reluctantly took off and flew away from the tower. I was crushed. I had lost my master, but not just my master. I had lost my mentor and my friend too. Kanan was all of those, but now he is gone.

After we returned to the 'Ghost' I used the data spike to transmit a message. I spoke out like my parents did before me. I tried to inspire the public. I tried to sway them to aid us in our fight. I told them to not be afraid anymore. Just as I finished speaking, we lost signal.

I broke down in tears. Sabine wrapped her arms around me and we cried into each others shoulders. Zeb retreated to his cabin feeling defeated. Hera did the same, but before she left she spoke.

"Sabine... I have changed my mind. Ezra can move in with you..."
