I woke up in the Dolan's house with Ethan holding me while we lay on the couch. It took me a moment to realize the events that took place earlier. I got up from the couch trying not to wake Ethan up. As I stood on my feet I felt weak. I was hungry. I tiptoed to the basement door and looked behind me to make sure nobody was there before descending into the basement. I reached a big freezer and lifted the top, my eyes went red and my fangs came out at the sight.

"Control yourself" I breathed to myself and picked up a blood bag. I pierced the thick casing with my teeth and the taste I craved since the last time I drank from one entered my mouth. I drained it empty, threw it away, and closed the freezer. I turned around and Ethan was standing behind me.

"I'm proud." He smiled and I jumped holding my hand on my chest.
"Gosh, why'd you do that!" I yelled pushing his shoulder.
"I was spying, to make sure you could contain the blood lust and you did." He kept smiling.
"It's not that big of a deal." I said as I hugged him.
"So about yesterday..." he said resting his chin on the top of my head.
"Let's not talk about it. He's completely immortal now and it's my fault." I squeezed him tighter.
"No," he paused and we pulled away my arms still around his waist. "You saved mine and Grayson's life. You're a little badass newborn." He hit the top of my nose.
"Yeah, Yeah." I rolled my eyes.

"Guess what!" I ran and jumped onto Ethan, hovering him, while he was laying on his bed.
"What?" He looked up from his book laying it down on his chest.
"My mom is flying home. Right now! Ahhhh!" I screamed and kissed him.
"What was that for?" He giggled.
"I'm excited and a list of other things about right now." I felt the heat rush to my cheeks. Ethan stared at me for what seemed like forever, reading my thoughts, before he flipped me over.
"We should do something about that." He smirked and leaned down to my neck. He pierced the skin with his teeth.
"Why doesn't that hurt?" I asked.
"It's called love bites. When you love someone you can share each other's blood and it feels good instead of hurting." He explained.
"Oh, well it does feel good, there's no doubt about that." I giggled and pulled him back down into a kiss.

We were making our for minute and as soon as things started to go further my phone rang.

"Son of a bitch." I whispered and Ethan rolled off of me as I reached for my phone. I looked at the screen and it was an unfamiliar number. It even had a wierd area code.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Mrs. Collins? Daughter of Mrs. Stephanie Collins?" The female voice questioned.

"Yes..." I said confused.

"Okay, I work at LAX and the plane your mother is on departed about an our ago. Is that correct?" She asked.

"Yes ma'am, flight 182." I said still confused.

"Okay..." She sighed and I was starting to get scared, "your mothers plane went down, we are still finding survivors and the collecting the number of fatalities. I'm so sorry, someone will be in touch soon." She hung up and I was speechless.

I started breathing heavy and I sat up on the edge of the bed. It didn't seem like real life. It all seemed like a nightmare that was just too real. I even tried pinching myself because I was sure I was asleep.

"No, no, no!" I yelled.

"Hey, What happened?" Ethan asked rubbing my back and I jumped off the bed, not wanting to be touched.

I couldn't speak. I started pacing the room, running my hands through my hair, and still convinced I was dreaming.

"Hey! Talk to me!" Ethan yelled and about that time Grayson walked in.
"My m-mom...her um, her plane went down." I forced the words out of my mouth.
"It's going to be okay." Ethan tried reassuring me.
"No. None of this is okay. She's probably dead. I was supposed to see her and we were supposed have this week together. One week! Just one week was all I wanted, all I asked for. She's been gone for one month and now she'll be gone forever." I was crying now. Harder than I ever have. I didn't even cry this hard when my dad left.
"Ember. Calm down!" Grayson walked over to me.
"No! Don't tell me to calm down. I can't handle this." I dropped to my knees holding my stomach trying to catch my breath, "it hurts. Please make it stop. Please make it stop!!" I yelled.
"Ethan, help her." Grayson looked to Ethan and nodded his head.
"Grayson, she may not come back from this for a while." He said as he sat down in front of me.
"I want it to stop." I looked in his eyes.

I was desperate to feel anything but the unbearable pain I was feeling at this moment. Even if that meant not feeling anything at all.

"I'm gonna help you, just breath." Ethan whispered cupping my cheeks.
"How?" I looked in his eyes.

"Turn it off," he paused and I furrowed my eyebrows at him, "just turn it off." He nodded.

I thought about not wanting to feel anymore and imagined what it would be like to not feel. Eventually the pain went away and there was nothing. I was just there and I didn't care what was going on in that moment.

Ethan looked at me and to Grayson. It was comical almost, how scared he looked. It was pathetic.

So......
Hope y'all enjoyed. Lol.
