"Grayson!" I called out.

"Yeah?" He yells running to the front door.

"I found this on the porch." I handed him the note and he scanned over it quickly.

"She's here for something. There's no telling why she's here." He shook his head.

"Well, we don't have time for her shit. I have got someone who looks just like her that is acting just liker her already. Don't need double trouble." I explained getting angry.

"You're right, we have to figure out how to get Ember back." Grayson agreed with me.

"Operation Ember!" I raised my hand for a high five.

"No, dude. That didn't deserve a high five at all." He laughed at me and I made a sad face.

Ember's POV

I arrive home from a very irritating day. Every person that I ate just would not sit still. It was really annoying, but what's about to be more annoying is Ethan and Grayson. I'm so tired of them trying to change me, I like who I am now. I may just have to leave. I went to my room and I heard a noise. I turned to see what it was and everything went black.

Ethan's POV

I snapped her neck and called for Grayson to come help me get her. We tied her hands and feet, then took her to the car.

"Basement cellar?" Grayson asked and I nodded my head.

We put her in the floor and locked the door. She'll wake up soon and I don't want to hurt her but it doesn't matter what it takes to get her back, I will do it.

"What's the plan?" Grayson asked.

"We should starve her and I guess just try to make her show any emotion, whether that be anger, sadness, happiness, and you get the point." I explained.

"Sounds good, I'm going to put her daylight necklace where nobody will find it." He left the room.

I stared at Ember, and looked at how peaceful she looked. I wished that I hadn't done this to her. She deserved so much more in life, she deserved to get married and have kids. I ruined that for her, and I will never forgive myself for it.

A tear ran down my cheek and I wiped it away, "I'm sorry." I whispered, and started to walk out of the room.

"For what?" She was awake.

"I ruined you." I answered.

"Quite frankly, I like who I've become, so why do y'all think that all of this is necessary?"

"You don't get it! The more people you kill, the more you will resent yourself!" I yelled.

"I don't care, Ethan! For the first time in my life I am free. Stop trying to fuck it all up!" She yelled back, it was working, she was getting angry.

"That's good, you're getting angry. That's the first step to turning your emotions back on." I stated.

"Oh please." She laughed.

I had an idea. I opened the door and walked in, shutting it behind me. She looked at me confused as I knelt down in front of her. I cupped her cheeks and looked her in the eyes.

"Don't you miss this?" I asked with a sincere tone.

"Not in the slightest." She answered bluntly.

"Lies, You miss the way I could hold you, the way I kissed you, you miss me and I know you do." I whispered in her ear and stared into her eyes. For a second, I saw a glimmer of hope in them. She was slowly coming back.

"You're wrong." She laughed with a condescending laugh.

"Am I?" I asked remembering the conversation we had when she told me she loved me, hoping it'd spark something in her. I kissed her and thought of every happy moment we'd ever had together so she would see it.

Ember's POV

He kissed me and I was instantly reminded of all the happy moments we had together. I felt like smiling and just being with him again, I missed that feeling of happiness that he gave me. No, why'd I think that.

"I need you, the real you..." Ethan said rubbing his thumbs on my cheeks.

"Ethan!" I heard Grayson yell.

"Yeah?" He answered.

"Bro, you won't believe what I just found ou-" Grayson stopped when he saw Ethan was in the room with me.

"Keep going." Ethan motioned for him to keep talking.

"Right, anyways Ember, your phone started ringing. It was a weird number and I answered it. You won't believe what the woman told me." Grayson smiled.

"Spit it out, Grayson!" I yelled.
