Matthew's P.O.V.
I looked through my closet and decided on black jeans. I cuffed them so they can be shin length. I grabbed my red shirt and slipped on my red and white converse. Looking in the mirror, I smiled. I look good.
I brushed my soft hair and ran down the stairs. "Hi mommy" I said kissing her cheek.
"Matty..." She whispered shaking her head frantically.
"Sorry I forgot.... hi Ava." She sighed and then nodded. "I made you and your brother breakfast." I grinned sitting down at the table. I licked my lips as I scanned over the pancakes, eggs and bacon. Immediately grabbing my fork, I dug in.
Austin appeared soon after, wearing cargo pants, a white shirt and his white J's. "Good morning love." He said kissing Ava' s cheek. She giggled quietly as her cheeks turned a darker shade of crimson. Austin sat across from me and began eating.
______________________________________I sat in the car looking out of the window. The ride was quiet.... too quiet. No one was speaking. I felt my palms start to sweat.
I can't tell him. That is my biggest secret..... I'm gay. I couldn't tell him. I already lost all of my friends, I can't lose my brother too...
"Matty" Austy said pulling me out of my thoughts.
I sighed, "yeah?"
He glanced over at me and then back at the road. "You ok?" I looked down at my hands and closed my eyes. "I-I just don't wanna go to school..." That was partially the truth. School is basically my own personal hell. Being gay in high school was not the best thing in the world. Trust me.
I always get picked on and yelled at. And if I'm lucky I'll only get beat up once a day.
"Why do you always say that?" Austin asked, pulling me out of my thoughts.
I sighed blinking rapidly to keep away the tears. "Because it's true."
Austin and I go to the same school but he is in the East wing and I am in the West wing because the freshmans and seniors are separated.
Austin sighed, "we'll talk about this later because you and I both know that's not the truth." I stayed silent. He pulled in front of my side of the building and unlocked the door. "Bye Austy.." I mumbled stepping out of the car. He smiled and waved slightly. "Bye Matty I'll wait for you after school so I can drive you home." With that he stepped on the gas and drove away.
I sighed as I walked into the giant hell hole some people call school.
