Chapter 12

Austin's P.O.V.

I pushed Matt to the side and ran into dad's room. I froze taking in the scene in front of me. Dad was in the mirror fixing his tie and Ava.....my princess was layed out on the floor barely conscious.

"Ava!!" I yelled running to her side. "Ava honey... Don't sleep baby!" I pulled her small body into my arms and held her close.

"D-Daddy.." She whimpered.

"Shh baby I'm here. Daddy's here don't worry."

I looked over at dad and waves of anger washed over me. "Dad!!" I yelled causing his head to snap in my direction.

"What the hell?! How could you do this to her?! You could have fucking killed her!!!"

He shook his head chuckling darkly. "You'll soon understand why I do what I do." With that he kissed Matt's head and walked out the front door.

I sighed running a stressful hand through my hair. "Ok baby" I said kissing Ava's forehead. My heart beat sped up as I watched her eye lids flutter open and closed. "Let's get you cleaned up. Ava!....Ava honey you have to stay awake. Can you do that for daddy?"

She slowly nodded. I stripped her out of her bloody shirt and sighed, she didn't have any underwear on.

I picked up her small naked body and carried her into the bathroom. I sat her on the counter and turned on the water. Her stomach growled. "Baby." I said kissing her head. "I'll get you something as soon as we're done ok?" She nodded but didn't speak.

I placed her in the tub and she hissed as the warm water made contact with her skin. I sighed. My poor baby.

*After Bath*

"Daddy..." Ava said quietly as I placed her in her high chair. I kissed her forehead, "yes baby?" She yawned "I just want baba (bottle) pweasee (please). I frowned "baby you need to eat real food do you can be strong amd healthy like daddy." She pouted and shook her head "baba daddy."

I sighed and gave in. I walked over to the fridge and grabbed her unfinished bottle from last night. I placed it in the microwave and walked back over to Ava who was half asleep. I smiled. She's just so adorable.

I gently lifted her out of her high chair and placed her on my hip. She immediately clung to me resting her head on my shoulder. Hearing the beeping go off on the microwave, I grabbed the bottle amd walked back to my room.

Hopefully Ava won't put up a fuss when I tell her to go back to sleep for nap time.
