Chapter 22

The Next Day

Matthew's P.O.V.

"Matty....." I heard faintly causing me to groan. I pulled the fluffy blanket over my head and snuggle back into the pillow.

"Matt..."

I whimpered, "five more minutes..."

"Matty its time to get up. Come on."

I sighed and sat up rubbing my eyes. "D-Daddy I wanna sl-" I shut my mouth when I looked up and saw Austin. He was frowning. My heart beat immediately sped up. "A-Austin I'm sorry I-I didn't mean-"

"Its okay" he said cutting me off.

I took a deep breath trying to control my breathing. I didn't wanna upset him or make him angry so I just kept my head down and avoided eye contact. Austin sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "Here." He said.

I looked up and saw him holding out my glasses. "T-Thank you..." I said grabbing them and quickly putting them on my face. I hate wearing my glasses but I need them really bad.

The tension in the air was thick as the awkward silence carried on. I have so many questions for him...why do you hate me? Why did you choke me? What do you have against gay people? But I knew better than to ask that.

Austin cleared his throat causing me to jump at the sudden noise. "Um I set your bath water for you and put bubbles in it. Just how you like it." I smiled slightly trying not to make him see. "T-Thank you..."

He nodded looking down at the floor. I was about to say something but Austin sighed amd left the room. I stood on my feet and trudged to the bathroom.

We pulled uo in front of the school building and I froze. I can't go in there... They're gonna tourture me... I just cant...

"Matty" Austin spoke quietly. He reached his hand out and then quickly pulled it away shaking his head. It was almost as if he changed his mind.

"Get out." He spat turning away from me.

My eyes widened. What did I do wrong? I quickly grabbed my bag as I fumbled with the door handle and scrambled out the car.

Before I even had a chance to close the door, Austin stepped on the gas and sped away.

I sighed and made my way into the large building....

I was literally so sad writing this chapter. The tension in the room was just so thick. It was heartbreaking
