Thomas's P.o.v.
I had waited all afternoon for Annabelle to arrive home and after waiting until nightfall and still no sign of her I became extremely worried. I had sent for the boys to come to the house to help me locate her and to make sure she was okay but also to protect Charlie. The boys got here relatively quickly and were sent out to find anything that could give us an indication of what Annabelle could be doing or ever just where she was. I had searched the house the following evening and was surprised at some of the things I had found.
I had found guns hidden in her underwear draw, bullets etched with names on them in her study and a vast amount of money stacks hidden away in her bathroom. Something definitely wasn't right and If I didn't find Annabelle quickly everything could go sour within the blink of an eye. Waiting outside the train station Arthur ran up the steps gripping the rails for support as he made his way, out of breath, to me. "Thomas she's been seen down at the Markets" I looked at him with a strange look before the lot of us headed down there.
We could have been walking for hours desperate to find her, I wasn't going to give up on her. Whilst looking for her a terrible thought played on my mind and instantly sent chills down my spine. Could she be dead? no she's too smart to get herself killed, I repeated to myself over and over. Everyone scanned their surroundings looking for her, she was here somewhere I could sense her presence. I know it sounds strange but when you love someone as much as I do you begin to be able to sense when they are around.
We began asking around if anyone knew her name and within seconds of people hearing Annabelle Winters they would step back and tell us they have nothing to do with her. They were scared and probably for good reason. My suspicions about her being involved with the business began to rise and I could tell she had definitely gotten herself a sticking reputation. What it was for I hadn't figured out yet due to no one having to courage to speak up. "Tom, try the cinema" John said remembering how Ada and herself would often go there.
Surprisingly when we walked inside the doors we managed to locate one of the family members who were currently missing. Ada, "Thomas?" she asked standing from her seat in the picture theatre. "Where is she, i've been home since yesterday and she didn't come home so don't lie for her". Ada turned and saw her brothers trailing behind me and I could tell she immediately felt guilty "Tom she's been busy" "Ada I don't care, I just want to find her". Pointing to the door leading back out into the foyer she said "She's in the building".
