you made me feel as if i were a flower blooming.
you made me feel special,
but even i should've guessed.
that i was just a weed in your way.
brown flowers are dead, maybe i was like that to you.
to the boy who made my rose die, i'm sorry for getting in your way,
but please don't make me feel special again.

-cornflowers is a special yet sad poem to me. a boy finally made me feel special. he complimented me every time i had class with him but he wasn't the one for me, my heart was telling me to get over him, he isn't worth the tears. the minute i saw his hands laced with someone else's made my heart stopped it was humiliating, i felt played. his eyes reminds me of cornflowers, they are a radiant blue but deadly enough to kill a heart of an innocent. to everyone who's reading this don't let no boy or girl make your heart a game be the king and make your first move. don't let him or her take you piece and play it as if it's his or her own. you can and are in control. yes, there will be some loss but that's only the beginning.
