ptsd stands for post traumatic stress disorder and it is where certain things can trigger painful memories to flood back. people who have ptsd have a flight, fight, or freeze reaction to this. i myself do not have violent episodes of ptsd, i have flight or freeze reactions.

• always regularly talk to a therapist or psychiatrist, it is their job to listen to you, and they want to help you

• take all of your medications as prescribed. never over or under dose yourself.

• try your best to avoid reminders of the emotional trauma you went through

• do rythmic exercise that requires you to use your whole body.

• spend time in nature or with animals, it will calm you

• join ptsd support groups and talk to people who also struggle with this

• always stay in touch with your friends and family. they love you and want to help.
