mdd stands for maladaptive daydreaming disorder. it is where you involuntarily start daydreaming about random things, more specifically your past emotional trauma. but at the same time, you have a desire to daydream about these things.
• mdd can be very confusing. research it and get a full understanding of what it is
• recognize and avoid triggers of your mdd
• sleep well
• stay engaged and focused during the day, even if you really want to fall into a trance of daydreams, it is important to focus
• count how many times you have an episode of mdd a day to reduce the amount of episodes you have in the future
• keep a journal or diary to help you stay focused
• speak with a therapist about it
• search for support groups of people who also understand what it's like
