"What?" and steps away from me. "I-I c-can't Ember. "

"Oh, don't be such a puss Steve, it's just you taking off my shirt and telling me how I look." I . Steve opens and closes his mouth, blushing like a schoolboy. "So... are you going to help me or am I going to have to stitch myself up again?" Steve looks down at the floor and scowls.

"Give it to me." He demands, putting his hand out. Raising an eyebrow, I hand him the first-aid kit before taking off my weapons and placing them on the table. Wincing, I slowly slide my suit off, kicking it to the floor.

"What do you think? Aren't I just the cutest?" I ask with a smirk. Walking up to Steve, I place my hands on my hips and There is no reaction. Steve looks up at me emotionless and motions to a cot. "What? You don't like me anymore?"

"Ember, lay down. Now." I tense up at his tone of voice and quickly slide onto one of the cots.

"Stevie, I get all tingly when you take control like this." Silently, he stands over me and assesses my wound. Thick silence chills the area.

"I thought you died." He murmured as he threaded the needle. Letting out a sigh, I look over at the cockpit.

"Trust me, I've been dead for years." I reply, numbness engulfs me as the needle . "I haven't been alive for quite some time Captain." I could feel multiple eyes on me as I grinned, memories flashing through my mind.

"Ember, look! It's a !" I looked up from the floor, blood soaking through the bandage on my thigh.

"What a beautiful flower Liebling. What is so special about this one?" Tasha kneels next to me and frowns at the bloody bandage.

"You're hurt."

"It's just a flesh wound Maus (Mouse) Now tell me, where did you get this one? I know it is not in the fields." I smirk at the child as she blushes and looks anywhere but at me. Tasha mumbles something. "Speak."

"The master's garden." She says louder. I sigh and at the girl.

"Why" Tasha meets my gaze and puts the flower in my hands.

"I read in one of the books that they cure broken hearts." My eyes widen as I attempt to keep a grin from coming to my lips. "I just want you to be happy."

"Oh, little one..." I trail off, lifting her head up. "I'm always happy when you're near me." Tasha grins and leaps into my arms. I hug her back tightly, glancing behind her where the Grandmaster stood, his eyes glaring down at the girl in my lap. The smile on my face disappears, and I glance at the flower in my palm before glaring back at the man. "Go now, I will meet you later." The girl looks confused before seeing the man in the doorway and tearing up.

"It's my fault, don't take my punishment!" She clings onto me as she cries. "Don't leave me!" I kiss her head and pry her off of me.

"I'll never leave you." I whisper, wiping her tears away. Tasha holds out her pinky.

"You promise?"

"Ember!" I blink rapidly and look into Steve's blue eyes.

"What?" He looks at me for a moment before looking back down at bandaged stomach and setting the first aid stuff aside.

"You're good to go. I would tell you not to do anything strenuous, but we both know you're not going to listen to me. Oh, by the way, Romanoff wants to talk to you." Steve leans down and kisses my forehead. "Glad to have you back." Sitting up slowly, I make eye contact with the approaching Redhead. Natasha hands me a bag sits across from me.
