walking hand in handand that was all it took for me to travel back in time
and suddenly, I'm back to where you were still mineI remember how you used to say,
you hated cliché things and cheesy lines
how your hair ruffles when you always smile,
and how your eyes darkens when you were met with I—
whose insecurity has gotten the best of her againI remember how the grass laughed with us,
and how the wind snickers when you push me backoh how I wish we could come back,
to times where we knew the best of us.
but instead it was all clouded with misery;
and all turned into a faint memory
