12: Prince to the Rescue

"Da? Is that you, Da?" You hear the older girl call out from the balcony.

You hear a noise on the roof and look up. Oin does the same. You look back at the girl as she turns to walk back inside. Suddenly an Orc drops on the balcony behind her. She screams and slams the door, but the Orc stops it with his sword. Hearing the screams, everyone else in the room jumps up. Another door opens and an Orc strides inside. Oin throws a stack of plates at its head, but another Orc breaks through the roof and falls into the house.

"I need a weapon!" You shout. The first orc at the door swings at the older girl, and she falls backward onto the table benches. She quickly slides under the table and pulls the bench sideways next to her as a shield. Fili grapples with an Orc. As another orc falls in through the roof, the younger girl throws a plate at it before her sister pulls her under the table as well.

"Get down!" She shouts.

The boy pushes the bench at an Orc, knocking it over. He then grabs the end of the bench and throws it up, hitting the Orc in the head. More orcs jump in through the roof, and one approaches Kili, who is lying in bed. You move to block it.

The girls scream as an Orc flips over the table they were hiding under. Another Orc leaps to the balcony in front of the house. Suddenly, Tauriel appears and stabs it in the throat with her knife. She pulls out her other knife as well and begins killing the Orcs in the house. Legolas jumps in through one of the holes in the roof. He too begins killing Orcs. An Orc sneaks behind you and grabs Kili by the wounded leg. Tauriel throws her knife and it plunges into the Orc's throat. You quickly grab the knife and start helping the elves, not that they need much of it.

Out of the corner of your eye, you see Kili fall over onto the floor, howling in pain, and Tauriel look at him with worry.

An Orc flees from the house and jumps over the balcony. You hear him yelling to another Orc. You hear a loud cry and all of the Orcs start to retreat.

Legolas stabs a fleeing Orc and trips it. It falls backward over the balcony railing and lands in the boat below. Another Orc suddenly appeared in the air, but Legolas slices off its head with his knives. 

"You killed them all." Bard's son said in awe to Tauriel.

"There are others. Tauriel, come." Legolas stood at the door.

"We're losing him!" Oin looked at Kili. Tauriel, looks at Kili, then at Legolas, who is waiting at the door.

"Tauriel." Legolas looks at her for a moment and then walks out the door. Tauriel remains in the house. Tauriel looks away and begins to head out the door to follow Legolas. Just as she reaches the door, Kili moans in pain, and Tauriel turns to look at him.

"Stay here," You sigh. Because she was an elf, Tauriel had a better chance at healing Kili. Plus, you got to help Legolas. "Help Kili." She nods and you head out the door. You quickly poke your head back in to say, "I can keep this knife right?" You got no response so you left, following the trail of dead Orcs. You catch up to Legolas as two Orcs come out of the shadows and their leader flees. You shift Tauriel's knife in your hand before you run up to the prince. 

"Go after him," You nod to the back of the fleeing Orc. "I got these two." Legolas paused for a second. "Go!" You urged him. He ran off and you turned to face your two opponents. The first one swung at you and you easily ducked. You swung your leg out and the first Orc's legs came out under him. You stand and quickly plunged the knife into the second Orc. You pulled out the knife and pushed it into the water in time to cut off the head of the first one. Taking a deep breath, you pushed the other Orc body into the water and washed off the blade. You then set off to find Legolas.
