the world is in pieces
and everything's falling apart
people say all sorts of things
but nothing's from the heart
your neighbour's garden is wrecked
the blame is on your dog
your second hand car is broken
and you're failing at your job
money's spent right and left
far faster than it's made
dues are piling up
but none of them are paid
family's fighting wars
relationship's almost over
friendship's in the trash can
as you wish for a four-leaved clover
you can't pay your rent
you're being thrown out of your house
you finally find another one
inhabited by the family of a mouse
you got nowhere to sleep
no more tears to shed either
you don't wanna be weak
but you can't be tough either
got arrested for not paying taxes
and an empty stomach during lunch
wishing you could at least buy some candy
or something you could munch
life feels like hell
nothing's going right
you can't help but get angry
and break your nose in a fight
hospitals are expensive
your kid's toys are too
you don't have a home
so you find one in a loo
and just when you think
things might finally get better
you're hit with an illness
due to the bad weather
you got your hopes up
only to have them crash down
i'm sorry but it seems like life
is simply full of frowns
the world is in pieces
and everything's falling apart
people say all sorts of things
but nothing's from the heart
