Chanyeol's POV
I walk into the studio, excited. Today's the day I get to meet the other main actor. The movie is titled Silent. When I first got the offer, I refused, mainly because the movie was about a mute boy falling in love. I've had enough of that in my life. My manager talked me into shooting it though. He said something about having personal experience or something. As if that's a good thing.
A mop of brown hair hits me in the chest. Papers scatter everywhere. The person bends down and starts collecting the papers. The sight sent shivers through me. When the person looked up, I froze. It was the face of the person I thought I'd never see again. Baekhyun.
A sea of papers were spilled at my feet with a brunette boy picking them up.
(One : One)He looked at me, half amused half sad. "And so we meet like this again, Yeol. Did you get my letter?"
I nod. "What are you here for?" I help him pick up the last of the papers. "I'm part of the cast."
"Me too." Baekhyun said wryly. "Except, I don't have any lines."
Is he a background character?
"I've got to head to the cast meeting now, it was nice bumping into you again."
Baekhyun walks into the conference room. The conference room that I was about to step foot in. This time, the meeting was only for important characters, lead roles and supporting roles. That rules out Baekhyun being a background character. I open the door. Oh, please don't tell me he's the-
"-hyun, you'll be meeting the other lead in a second. I trust that he'll be here shortly." The director turns at the sound of the door opening. "Oh, and there he is now. Baekhyun, meet your other lead, Park Chanyeol."
Silence.
Baekhyun's eyes widen and he rubs his temple. The director looks confused at our lack of enthusiasm. "What's wrong? Is the arrangement bad?"
Baekhyun waves his hand. "No. No. It's a long story. We, we, ah, are acquaintances. And also happened to live out this movie plot, only, it didn't end so well.
"Oh, well I'll let you two go over the script together. Meet me back in the main lobby in a hour. With that, the director exited the room, leaving the two of us.
This can't get much worse. Baekhyun beckons me over. Once I sit down, he flips to a section in the script. "There is, er, are kissing scenes."
"I know." This is going to be awkward.
Baekhyun lets out a sigh. "I don't even know what to think. I feel like I'm having déjà vu."
"Do you want to tell the director to get rid of the kissing scenes?"
"No." Baekhyun shook his head. "The director strictly said no to plot changes. I'll live."
"I-I-I, let's just study the script." There were so many things that I wanted to say: I miss you, I was wrong, I was a coward, I was naive, and most importantly, I still love you. I guess I'm still a coward.
Baekhyun's POV
"Do you still love them?" [...]
"Yes. I do. Is it wrong to still be in love after three years?"
"It depends." [...]
"Depends on what?"
"Depends on if you think you've hurt them enough for them to hate you." You haven't Yeol. Not yet.
