Michael hasn't seen Luke like this, so peaceful in one simple place. His studio.
Maybe it was because he's introverted, or how the studio is set up in a very specific way so Luke doesn't have to switch it around.
The room is pretty damn big, and a large part of the wall is a window facing the front of the apartment. Michael thinks the view is pretty even if it was just the out front. But seeing such an average view from such a breath taking spot made Michael wanna paint.
Even if Luke found the spot troubling to work with, he sits with his back towards the window and paints towards the walls.
Whatever it was, Luke was at peace.
Even if the bag under his eyes screamed sleep.
Michael sat in a chair next to Luke, who was on a stool- hunching over his easel that was too short for him.
"Luke, sit up. You're gonna have tensed muscles if you keep doing that." Michael would ridicule as Luke grumbled and shifted around mumbling lines of "You're not even a nurse." But he listened to the lilac boy just because he knows they hurt, (and he wanted to see Michael smile).
Michael spent a lot of time admiring little things about Luke; things like his freckles on his face.
They're small but they're there. Michael always wanted freckles, not a lot but he wanted a few but they looked bad drawn on so he just left his face pasty and bare.
Another thing about Luke is the shades of blue in his eyes, today they're vibrant- very vibrant.
A shade nearly unreal but is so full of life at the same time unlike his usual pale blue- as they always looked drained.
"Take a picture. It'll last longer." He whispers, dipping a brush into the water and leaning back to check his art and make sure it's fine.
"You have cute freckles." Michael whispered, leaning his head into his hand. Luke laughed softly, "Those aren't freckles Michael. They're black heads."
Michael laughed but shook his head.
"Lemme see!" The lilac boy giggled, grabbing Luke's face and examining his face closely. There's some blackheads and clogged pores but there's freckles there.
"What? OW" Luke whined as Michael squeezed his face and clearing the pores.
"Sorry." He whispered, "There was done black heads. But you DO have freckles."
Luke just sighed in defeat because they're not freckles but he might squeeze his face again to prove a point.
Anyway, Michael broke out in a big grin, "I knew i was right." with that, he gave a big sloppy kiss on Luke's cheek.
Luke tried, he really tried not to blush but he couldn't hold it back.
Michael is so damn cute and it just makes his heart flutter, doing fifty flips and warming up Lukes body like he's never felt.
Michael's heart fluttered the same way, like when you kiss you highschool crush or something that was so cute yet so innocent that will blossom into something beautiful. At least he hopes so, as the kids used to say; he really likes like Luke.
Michael grinned, saying "Thanks for being a doll." with a little giggle echoing throughout Lukes brain.

"Luke! C'mon! I wanna see the downtown lights!" Michael whined, Luke whined over him and threw himself into the couch.
"Can't we order Chinese? I don't wanna drive. Driving sucks! We can go another time." Luke sighed, picking up a Chinese menu and trying to see how much he can afford for him and Michael.
"I'll buy us Chinese when we go downtown." Michael argued stubbornly, grabbing Luke's hand and pulling him off the couch. "You're just lazy! The lights are really pretty!"
Luke huffed, but grabbed his car keys anyways because Michael was right. The downtown lights are really pretty at night but because he's always studying or sketching, he never had time to see them anymore.
Not since highschool.
"Alright. Lets go Michael." He sighed, Michael let out a huge squeal and shoved past Luke and out to the car.
"UNLOCK IT FUCKER. I WANNA GO DOWNTOWN." He screamed, tugging on the car door.
Luke shook his head, "Were walking downtown. Lazy bum!" he locked the house up, checking- then checking it again to be double sure it was locked.
"But Luke! The car! It's quicker."
"Nope. You dragged me out here so we're gonna walk and enjoy the night."
A good thing about Fall is always how dark it gets so early, it's only about 8p.m and the sun has gone down.
Street lights are on but the kids are still playing underneath them.
Kinda like his childhood, playing man hunt with his brothers and his friends using the street lights to find his friends and all the fun things like that.
Those stupid things he misses, but he knows he won't get them back but they still haunt him silently.
"And we're off." Luke smiles softly, grabbing Michael's hand, Luke felt how Michael's hand was shaking. He wasn't sure if he was nervous, or cold so he's going to try his best to calm him down and warm him up.
But Michael is trying to make the shaking stop but he's just shaking harder, Michael dismissed any intrusive thought and began walking down the street.
