Waking up cold, and alone wasn't a new thing to Michael. Something that's been done time and time again in the same cycle of one night stands. But what was new was waking up with arms draped around his waist and a soft snore in his left ear. It was also the little beard scratching his neck, everything was welcoming.
Luke kinda felt like a little puppy, he may act strong but he was needy, curling close to Michael and clinging more, closer, when Michael dared to move away.
Michael wasn't complaining.

The daylight didn't bother them, yes Luke was asleep but nothing can ruin anything for Michael. Even if the sun gleamed through the windows a little too much, or if Luke was a little too close and a little too warm.
It was perfect, a scene Michael couldn't switch for anything. You couldn't give Michael almost anything to not be in this situation right now, not the the flowers, not the stars or the oceans or the animals that are hidden in it. Nothing would be better than where he's at now.

Hours passed, Luke was awake, inert, but awake and it was about 9 a.m, birds still chirping, the dogs start barking, the cars start driving to their nine to five shifts.
People start chattering, and the city explodes with people and the colors as the hours tick by. The noises gradually get louder. But they refused to leave the bed until the late afternoon (by 'they', it was Lukes suggestion to sleep in. He didn't want Michael to move).
They lay wrapped in their own embrace, Michael lays his head on Lukes chest, admiring the rosemary necklace he never seems to not be wearing. That was something Michael didn't notice, it was a small thing. They're held together as if a python was holding them, squeezing them together.

"So," Michael said awkwardly, "How about the weather?" He rolls on his side, then holds his head up on his hand to make eye contact with Luke. Luke looked at him from the corner of his eye, Michael shot back a shit eating grin.
"Gee Craig." Luke mimics him, seating his hand up and resting his head in it, so they're face to face. "I think it's pretty neat." They both had that face that they were gonna laugh soon but like, really tried to keep it serious.
"Wow John. I sure do agree." Michael started, but ended up laughing midst sentence.

"You're just the wiz at small talk aren't you?" Luke laughs, rolling into his back again. Michael followed suit to this, stretching out like a starfish and shoving Luke towards the end of the bed.

The blond whines, trying to get back on the bed but slipping desperately to do so, causing his body to just tumble off the bed.
"Luke!" Michael laughed, sitting up quickly and crawling to the right side of the of the bed and peering over the side.

Luke's eyes met with Michael's green ones, his lilac hair was a tangled mess. Luke smiled softly, while Michael laughed joking to him about "waking up on the wrong side of the bed"
Luke responded with a sarcastic laugh, yet never moving from his spot. Too busy admiring the lilac boy above him.

A couple moments pass, Michael's face blushes a deep shade of pink, "W-What are you looking at?" He asks shyly, sitting up.
"What?" Luke said. He knew he was caught admiring him.
He's guilty as charge.

Luke sits up, crawling back onto the bed and into Michael's arms. Michael welcomes him with open arms, letting out a happy noise as Luke squeezes him. They sway or a minute before toppling over back onto the bed.

"Can we do some art stuff today?" Michael asked quietly, his arm running up and down Luke's back.
"Of course we can." Luke smiles, letting out another hum of satisfaction.
"It's a plan."
"Deal"
