Chloe Peterson. One of the cool girls in our class. Everyone wanted to be like her and now I find her sitting in Little and Friday sobbing...
"What happened?" I asked. "Asher... he-he" She burst into loud sobs that made a few heads turn. Asher. One of the bad boys. What did he do to her? "It's ok, it's alright" I said patting her back, reassuring her "What did he do?" "He just broke u-up wi-with me" She replied, in between sobs. "Why?"
Chloe POV/Flashback
"Hey..." I said to Asher as we sat in the booths. "What did you want to talk about?" I asked. "It's about us" he replied, "Oh, what about us?" I said. "I umm..." He stuttered "It's just-" His friend Caleb walked in, cutting him off. "Ash! Hey man!" Caleb said loudly. "I'll be right back" He said, walking off to greet Caleb. His phone lit up and I reached over to grab it...
Steph: Hey babe, wanna meet up later?
Oh, my God. Who was Steph? Why was she texting him? Anger surged through my veins. Is he...cheating on me?
Asher walked back to the table and I shoved the phone at him. "WHO IS STEPH? WHY IS SHE TEXTING YOU?" I yelled and a few people turned around to watch. "Calm down, she's just a-" He said slowly "DO NOT GIVE ME THE SHES JUST A FRIEND BULLSHIT! ARE YOU CHEATING ON ME?" I screamed as I rose out of my chair. "Ye-yes...but I don't love her like I love you..." He said softly. "but you end up cheating on me..."I mumbled as I sat back down in my chair, defeated. It felt like a knife stabbed me and someone was twisting it around in my chest. He started speaking but all I could hear was the words "Sorry" and "It's not you, it's me" (I laughed at that mentally. It was so cliche) and "I still love you". None of it mattered. He cheated on me. I loved him, I still do but... "Hey, are you ok?" I looked u at the face of the man I loved but should I still love him? He cheated on me. "What do you think?" I mumbled sarcastically as tears flowed down my cheeks. "I'm sorry, I knew I'd hurt you one day and I did. I should have never let this carry on..." He said, "What carry on?" I asked "Us" He replied. The knife dug deeper into my chest and a roll of fresh tears went downs my face. I could taste the saltiness of them and feel the pain that caused them. "I'm so sorry," He said as he reached my face to wipe the tears away and I turned away "but this is goodbye" and just like that he got up and left, never looking back once.
I couldn't hold the sobs back anymore so I let them out. I cried and cried as the memories of the first time we met, the time when he asked me to be his girlfriend, when he always held me protectively in public and especially the first time we kissed played through my mind. I didn't know what to do. Life didn't matter without him. Suddenly a girl came up to me. What was her name again? oh, Evelyn right? She came up to me, asking what was wrong and I told her everything, it all came out. Right now many people may think I would need a bucket of ice cream, tissues, friends, movies, time to mourn and all that crap but all I really needed was Asher.
Evelyn POV
She started telling us that she loved him, that she couldn't live without him and how she was nothing out him in the car. I asked to take her home since she came with Asher and he left without her after the fight. Rayna didn't want to take her home and she kept whining "Do we haaaave tooooo" and I always replied "Of course we have to". We were going to take her home then go to Rayna's to hang out. "Why! Why would he cheat on me!" Chloe cried out in the back seat while I was rubbing her back. This was going to be a very long ride.
Rayna POV
The little brat was still crying as we pulled up at her house. Why did I agree to this? At least Evie and I get to hang at my house after and maybe I can try to see who she's crushing on! "Ok, we're here now. Make sure to get some rest ok? Don't text him or call him, he doesn't deserve you" Evelyn said calmly, except for the last bit. We finally got her into the house into her room. Wow, her house was a normal sized house with simple decor and here I thought she lived in a mansion. She acts like it anyway... "Ok, get some rest. Bye Chloe" Evelyn said, acting like she was Chloe's mother. "Bye" Chloe replied, closing her eyes. "Bye..." I whispered and I walked out of the room to my car, Evelyn slowly following. "You think she's gonna be alright?" Evelyn said as we got into the car. "She'll be fine. She's popular. I bet she's gonna end up calling around the other snobs and have a slumber party with them, burning Asher's pictures and what not" I said and Evelyn laughed. We drove to my house for a relaxing evening.
Evelyn POV
We arrived at Rayna's and I went to the bathroom to change and yes, I always keep a change in my bag in case something happens. I changed into grey track pants and a grey hoody with a unicorn on it and brushed my hair and left it open because I couldn't be bothered, texted my mom that I might be late and went into the living room.
Rayna sat on the couch, watching the movie. "Hey! you started it without me!" I said "oops" she said, not caring. I mumbled out "Fine" before going to the kitchen to grab the popcorn and sat next to Rayna. Halfway through the movie at about 6, Justin walked in while making as much noise as humanly possible. "Would you keep it down!" Rayna yelled and I laughed. "Whyyyy!" Justin yelled back and I laughed some more. "We're trying to watch a movie" Rayna yelled again. I was used to it. Everyone yells everything at each other here. "We're?" Justin said as he walked in the dim living room, only lit up by the light of the tv. "Yeah, Evie's here for a girl's night" She said. I haven't had a girl's night with Rayna in a while. It was nice. "Oh, ok" Justin said. He plopped onto the couch next to me and grabbed a handful of popcorn from the bowl. "This is girl's night" Rayna said, turning toward her brother to glare at him "And?" Justin said, eyes glued to the tv "Are you a girl?" Rayna said "Does it matter?" Justin said "Of course it does" She yelled. "Evelyn doesn't mind" Justin said "Do you?" He asked me, turning to look at me. "No, I don't mind" I replied. "See?" Justin smirked at Rayna and she looked away. We continued watching the movie...
