After a very long day of school, I went home and changed (outfit above) and heard a beep. I ran downstairs while putting my shoes on which ended with me tripping o the stairs, rug and couch earning many bruises. It also ended with a broken vase. I looked through the white lace curtains to see the one and only Shawn. He pulled up in front of the house in a Porsche, a freaking Porsche! I rolled my eyes and mumbled "Rich kid". I was glad my parents weren't home and that my grandparents agreed to look after my sisters because I had to go to 'Rachel's'. I finally wore my shoes and grabbed my black leather bag and made my way to the door. As I finally reached the door, there was a knock. I opened the door to see the one and only Shawn. I blushed at the sight of him as the memory of our latest encounter flooded through my mind. He was gorgeous, as always and it put my outfit to shame. "You look great..." He said as scratched his neck shyly. Shawn shy? now that was a first. He must have noticed that I was looking at him with a curious look on my face and he turned back to being...well...Regular Shawn.
We got to the car and he began driving. He drove in silence and I was about to doze off until he stopped the car. Was his house a sushi restaurant? "This is a restaurant," I said "I know..." he replied, "I'm starving, aren't you?". "Not really..." My stomach growled "Ok, fine. Let's eat quickly and leave so we can study" I mumbled. We both walked into the sushi restaurant. "You like sushi?" I said, surprised "Of course, don't you?" Shawn said. "Of course!" I replied. We went to the cashier and all her attention was on Shawn. I felt my anger bubble inside me. "What would you like today, handsome," she said with a wink and I gagged. Shawn didn't seem to notice. He ordered and turned to me "What would you like?" He said softly. I ordered and the girl said "Coming right up" as she batted her eyelashes. Eugh...gross. As we walked to the table, a group of guys were staring at me. Shawn noticed and suddenly put his arm around my waist and pulled me closer as if to show them I was his. My heartbeat quickened its pace and I watched Shawn as he eyed those guys. I blushed as we got to the table and sat down, waiting for our food...
I turned to him "What was that for?" I asked "What?" He asked "The whole 'protective' thing you just did there" I explained "Oh, it's nothing...I just don't like those guys, that's all" He replied "Oh," was all I could say. We saw the cashier coming with our food and Shawn shifted next to me and put his arm around me "Just go with it" he whispered in my ear. I obeyed, for some reason and she finally came to our table. "Here's your order," she said. She looked up and her eyes widened, looking from me to Shawn. "So you two are... umm dating?" she asked. I started laughing. Dating? me and Shawn? Shawn elbowed me. "Ye-yeah, we are," I said, trying to stifle a laugh. "Oh, umm you two are a cute couple" and just like that, she walked away, mumbling to her self angrily. Shawn moved his arm from around my shoulders. "Thank you so so much," He said, "why?" I asked. "It's just that her flirting was sort of annoying," He said smiling "Also, there's another girl on my mind..." He said, smirking. "Oh, really?" I said, trying to smirk yet I looked like...
He started laughing and I hit him on the arm. "So...who is it?" I asked, curious. "I'm not telling" he replied in a childish voice. "Who is it! pleeease tell me" I whined. "Nope," he said "Fine, give me a clue," I said "Sure, I don't think you'll end up finding out anyway..." he said, "What did you say?" I asked him, glaring. "Oh, nothing..." he said, trying to make an innocent face "So the clue is that I see this girl every day" "I need more! You see lots of girls every day!" I said "Ok, fine. You know this girl..." he said. "Oh, is it...Rachel?" I said smiling "No," he said. After lots and lots of guessing, I gave up. "Can we go?" I asked, "My stomach is going to explode!" "Sure" he replied. We got up and put his arm around my shoulders. "Really?" I said lifting his arm off my shoulders. "The cashier that tried to flirt with me is looking, just play along" he whispered. It sent shivers along my back. "Fine" I mumbled angrily but on the inside, it was actually really nice. I wondered if this is what it felt like to have a boyfriend. We walked to the car and drove home, laughing...
