Sid And Meera!?

The next morning was bright and chirpy. Last night, I went to sleep a little early. However today, today I was so determined that I will express my feelings to Varun. The first thing I wanted to see this morning was his charming face. And so that happened..

I went outside and saw him, Varun sitting beside Radha. They were sitting quite close and I hated that. Though Radha is my bestie and I trust both of them. I went towards them.

"Good morning Prani!" greeted Radha.

"Good morning!" I replied staring at Varun. He motioned me 'what' but I ignored that and sat beside Radha. Sometimes I loved to tease him and see him get worried.

"So Radha, what's the plan for today?" I asked as the silence started to get awkward.

"oh! Today.. Today we are going to our next camp site. Prani, you will love it. It is located at the base of a glacier." she replied.

"really! That's amazing!" I was excited about that but more than that now I wanted to focus on Varun and so wanted Radha to leave. I know thats rude to ignore your bestie but I will convince her later.

"um.. Radha.. I guess Meera was searching for you. She is in our tent" I said.

"Me? Oh! Okay.. Bye Varun!" she said getting up.

I shifted a little close to Varun as she left. This was it! I was going to say that to him.
"um.. Varun" he looked at me with those eyes. My heart beat racing. "I.. I.. I just wanted to tell you that umm.. I"

"I love you" he said.

"what!" Did he really say that? Did he really mean that because I know he loved playing pranks!

"I love you! Yesterday Side said that to Meera"

"wait! What?"

"oh you dumbo! Last night Side proposed Meera. After Sid's recent breakup, Meera was the one who helped him out of that chaos. Also they had some common friends and shared same interests, that helped maybe." he clarified.

I decided to keep my proposal for a standby. All this was too much for me to digest. Meera would mention about Sid's good looks and humor many a times but, but this was a huge step.

"did.. Did Meera say yes?"

"yea. She did" he said "by the way, what were you saying?"

"I.. I was.. Leave it! First, let me get to Meera." I said running towards our tent.

"Meera! Meera! You and Sid! Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I said dashing in the tent.

"I wanted to but.. but the first thing you wanted to see this morning was Va.."

"What the hell is happening guys?" Radha interrupted. Well, I noticed her presence at that time.

"Radha.. Meera and Sid are a couple now."

"Really! When? And how?" she said.

"Girls! I will tell you the story wile trekking. But for now, we really need to get our butts moving." Meera said.

"Yea. That's true." Radha agreed.

And so, Meera narrated the whole scene from how they started to connect to their propose session. I was happy for her. Infact, for both of them. Sid was really a nice guy. And they both suited each other quite well.

"guys! We will take a halt here." group leaders called out.

While we were seated, Joey got up and said," Fellas! Before anything else, let us all give a huge shoutout to the new couple in our gang...Sid and Meera!"

Yay! Wooo!Awesome guys!

"congratulations bro! But you know,for me, love is such a cheesy concept." Tammy said.

"no its not Tammy." Justin said.

"yea..its a great feeling!" said Varun. Aww.. That was so cute of him.

"so.. Have you fallen in love Varun?" Radha asked. Sometimes her nosy behavior is really beneficial.

"yea.. Yea.. I have fallen too hard. But.. But this time I guess.. I guess she will save me" he said looking at me. I looked at him as well. Our eyes met and the world seemed to stop. He winced and that broke the contact.

"Cmon all! The halt is getting a bit longer..  We should move on!" the leader came towards us.

And so we continued our trek.
Finally we reached our destination. It was BEAUTIFUL! No words for that feeling. I wanted to stay there.. Watching the scenario but my body was aching af and so I decided to take a nap.

It was almost evening when I woke up. Everyone was sitting outside except Varun. Radha told me that he was busy doing a job assigned to him by team leaders. Oh boy!I wanted to meet him . I sat near them and found out that they were playing 'the mimic game',a game in which a person has to mimic the given sentence. For any typical Indian trip, this game was mandatory. I joined them as well.

It was Esha's turn and she was unable to perform that. Disappointed, she quitted. Next was Sid. He smartly mimed the Taylor Swift's song 'love story'. Ya, obviously, Meera guessed that right.

"Heyy all! Can I join you?"said a familiar voice from behind.
Yes! It was Varun.

"yay! You must join dude.. Cmon you take the next turn!" said Joey.

I was looking at him, Varun. He was looking a little exhausted but oh, that did not affect the warmth in his smile.

So he was the one who was acting now. Tammy told him a song which he had to act. He listened to it, smiled, at looked at me and started walking towards me. The moment he looked at me, my heart raced. For some reason I felt, I felt afraid. I don't know why but I was afraid what if he came up to me and did something due to which other members would tease us. I hated those tags and teasings.

He came forward and forward and.. And turned left and asked Radha to join him. Maybe, just maybe he had read the fear and alertness in my eyes and so decided to change his path. That melted my heart. He was being so considerate. Okay! It's decided! I am going to tell about my feelings to him before tomorrow no matter what. But.. But when??

We went for dinner. The typical gossiping was going on when..

"guys.. How about a campfire tonight?"
Yes, again one of the mandatorys on a trek.

"yep! I'm in!" agreed Esha

And so it was campfire time. I am going to confess to Varun tonight.. Yes! Tonight..
