“Oh, I understand, I’m sorry for the trouble professor,” the guard apologized.

Professor? Oh no! He knows about the prophecy and he recognized the ring! I let my thoughts reach Viola and Heather and they stiffened.

“If you, young ladies may follow me,” he said. You can trust me, said the old man telepathically, although how, I didn’t know. But due to our current position, I followed the old man and the three girls followed me hesitantly.

Once we were out of earshot of anybody, I asked the old man, “How’d you know?”

“I thought the chosen ones would be smart, didn’t you just hear him call me professor, I know about the prophecy because I studied it my whole life,”

            “Who are you?” Viola asked

“It can wait until we reach my home, we can talk there without anybody hearing our conversations,” he whispered looking around us as if we were being watched. A few minutes later, we arrived in a small but comfy looking house and I have to say it’s really cute.

            “It’s adorable!” said Heather.

“Thank you, please do come in,” the old man said as he ushered us in. when we were settled he started, “I am Professor Frank Millot, you can call me Professor Millot, now, where are the two boys?”

“Um, they stayed outside the town in case we are not welcome here,” I said.

“Before I start, may I ask you to show me your Leya, just to be sure,”

“How can we know if we can trust you since we can’t just show it to anybody we meet,” Viola inquired sternly.

“This,” he said and raised his sleeve, and we saw a tattoo, “is the mark of Freohr, he is my grandfather, and he foresaw that I will encounter you so he gave me his mark for proof.”

“How can that be? That’s like a couple of hundred years ago.” Heather asked incredulously.

“Our kind can live longer than humans. Now, are you satisfied?” we showed him our marks as a sign of our trust.

His eyes widened with amusement and I noticed a twinkle of jubilation.

“I presume you are going to meet Yalina, the Oracle,”

“How’d you know? Well, yeah, we are. Illysia told us to meet her.” Viola explained.

“I suggest you better get down to it, time is running short and if you need provisions, I’ll take care of it,” he proposed and we immediately packed what he’d brought us. He gave us a map of the magical realm and weapons. We went on our way after a lot of thank-you’s and goodbyes. We rode out of town and met up with the boys who were camped in the small forest by the lake, which, according to the map, is named Undines’ Lake, What a name!
