A/N: Jed's POV:

"Eighth? May I ask you a question?" I asked.

"I believe you just have." The Eighth answered as he looked at his cellphone.

Confused, I only stared at my feet. Few minutes later,  jerked my head up.

"That's mean!" I grinned despite myself. "Well then, may I ask you three questions?"

The Eighth raised an eyebrow. "Three?"

"Those were two questions and the next one, the actual one, is the third."

"I see. That's very clever of you. Yes, you may ask your third question."

The smile slid off my face and the atmosphere became so somber that Eighth knew what I was going to ask but was still somewhat surprised when I did.

"What is your Future Diary?"

The Eighth froze. Uh oh. I think I hit a nerve.

The Eighth stood up from his seat and walked towards me.

"Fourth.... Why do you want to know what my Future Diary is?" His menacing voice rang through my ears.

"E-eh.. I just wanna know. Just that. No more, no less." I put up a nervous smile.

"Are you sure?" The Eighth's voice thundered. I fidgeted.

"D-don't kill me!" I stumbled backwards.

"Just because I'm your ally doesn't mean I can just open my mouth and tell you what my diary is. Isn't that right, Fourth?" He stated coldly. I felt shivers down my spine. I never knew that the Eighth could be so menacing.

I raised my hands up high. "O-okay. I'll shut up now." I zipped my mouth closed with an invisible zipper. Better to shut up than to ruin the trust with one word.

The Eighth sighed. "You know, Fourth. I can't just tell you what my diary is. Top secret, dude. You have your own."

"Yeah, you're right. I shouldn't mind other diaries since I have my own." I sighed. Man, I hope I won't make the Eighth my enemy.

The Eighth sorta changed his mind. He turned his head to face me.

"Well, scratch that. I can tell you what my diary is. But, that only. No more, no less." Eighth smiled.

My eyes brightened up at his words. "Let me hear you out then."

The Eighth started. "My Future Diary is called the [Detective Diary]. It helps me solve mysteries other detectives can't."

"No doubt you're the infamous detective. An awesome one too." I laughed. Man, hanging out with Eighth's cool.

Eighth chuckled. "Why, I appreciate the compliment, Fourth."

"My diary's called the [Dull Diary]. It records everything I acknowledge as dull. The world's pretty much dull." I stated as I fumbled through my phone.

The Eighth chuckled. "That's a lame diary you got there. Maybe I can break it?" He flashed his signature smirk. My eyes widened as I began walking backwards.

"No way, dude! This is mine and mine only." I stuck my tongue out.

"Okay, okay. Sheesh. But really, that's one dull diary." He shrugged.

"Duh. That's why I call it my [Dull Diary]. Use your logic." I rolled my eyes at the statement.

"Says the one who doesn't know how to save himself from harm." He scoffed.

I tensed at his words. "Excuse me? Did you say something?" I glared at him balefully.

He snorted. "Nothing, nothing."
