A/N: Jed's POV

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Man, I really am tired as hell." I yawned as I reminisced yesterday's battle. Man, I'm toast. I got dressed in my school uniform and went ahead while checking my [Dull Diary].
"[5/30/2012] 7:05 A.M. (School Entrance) Friends try to sneak up behind and surprise me. Man, what a dull attempt of surprising me."
I rolled my eyes after reading the entry. "Nice try, you guys. But I'm afraid it's useless against me. As long as I have my [Dull Diary], your attempts are in vain." I smirked.
"Awww, party pooper." Karissa pouted.
I laughed at Karissa's pouting face.
"I forbid you from using your diary while you're on school grounds!" Paul yelled.
"I don't think you're in charge of telling me what to do with my diary. Besides, I wasn't planning on using it while I'm at school." I shrugged.
"Hell, why don't you destroy your diary? The other Future Diary Holders won't be able to find you if you don't have it in your possession." Mav laughed.
"I wish I could do that but I'm afraid I can't. If my [Dull Diary] gets damaged or destroyed, I might cease to exist." I shuddered at the thought of ceasing to exist. I don't wanna die yet.
"You serious? That sucks, dude." Paul shrugged.
I sighed. "I know it does. Now, if you can please excuse me, I have to-" I was cut off in mid-sentence  once I turned around on my heel and accidentally collided with someone.
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bump into you." I apologized.
"Oh no, it's alright. I should be the one who's sorry." The lady stated her apology before bowing.
"No, no. There's no need for you to state an apology. It was my fault. I should've paid more attention to where I was- Oooh la la." I gaped my mouth open.
This lady's one hot sexy chick! She's tall and has a voluptuous figure. Judging by her appearance, I think she's in her mid twenties or somewhat below.
She's pretty, I guess. Her outfit consisted of a simple tank top and a pair of green shorts. She has long brown waist-length hair.
The lady in front of me tilted her head. "Um, is something wrong?"
I immediately closed my mouth as I started picking up her video camera. Wait, there's something a bit off about it. I just can't put my finger on it. I examined the video camera for a few minutes, not bothering about the lady's patience running low.
"Excuse me, but can I have it back?" The lady extended her arm, waiting for the video cam to be placed on the palm of her hand.
"Huh? Sorry about that. I was spacing out. Hope you " I nervously laughed as I handed her back the video cam.
"Thank you very much." The lady curtsied once again before turning on her heel. I watched her walking off in a distance when she stopped dead in her tracks.
"Oh and by the way, Watch out, Fourth. Other Diary Holders are on the look out. I'm the Thirteenth, if you wanna know." She turned her head and flashed me her smile. The lady giggled and walked away.
"Well, that was odd. I met another one of the Future Diary Holders." I muttered to myself while watching her figure drift away in a distance.
 "Ohhh, you must like this lady huh? Is it love at first sight?" She laughed once a slight blush appeared on my face. Mav nudged me in the rib and gave me one of his winks.
"Y-You idiot! Of course it's not love at first sight! I think I''ve seen her before." I yelled at her then let out a heavy sigh so that I could calm myself down.
"Relax Jed, it was just a simple joke! Geez, I swear you really get riled up so easily." Paul laughed as he patted me on the back.
I was embattled. The Thirteenth huh? She's pretty. I think I'm falling for her. Ugh. snap out of it, Jed. You can't fall in love with a person destined to be your enemy. You're caught up in the survival game, remember?
I let out another heavy sigh. My friends turned to face me.
"Is something bothering you, Jed? You don't look so good." Karissa stated as she placed her hand on my forehead.
"Huh? I'm fine. Geez." I brushed her hand off my forehead.
"Okay. If you say so." Karissa rolled her eyes. I just shrugged.
After a few minutes of awkward silence, Paul spoke up.
"Dude, we'll be on our way to class. The bell's about to ring. So, see ya at lunch time!" Paul and the others walked off, leaving me embattled in my thoughts.
I sighed. Oh shoot, I almost forgot about class.
I checked my [Dull Diary] and received a new entry.
[5/30/2012] 7:25 A.M. (School; Hallway) Ended up being tardy to class and was not let into the classroom by teacher. Man, what a dull beginning for the day."
"Tardy as usual, I see." I turned to face someone smirking. My eyes widened. 'It can't be who I think it is....'
Without thinking, I ran off and threw my arms around her waist.
"I thought you were killed by The Third?" I confusedly stated, still not releasing my waist-crushing grip.
She shrugged. "Meh, that was a clone. I managed to escape the retirement home, and summoned a clone to take place of my absence."
"You're badass as ever." I stated.
"Hell yeah, I am." She ruffled my hair.
"I missed you, Seventh." I buried my face into her suit.
"How's life, Fourth?" She asked me.
"Life's kinda dull. My father was killed my the Fifth." I sniffed. It wasn't supposed to be like that...
She shrugged. "Hell, he was eliminated by the Fifth huh? Sucks to be him."
I pointed to a bench. "Why don't we sit and chat there? I don't wanna be standing here the whole day. Besides, I'm skipping my Math class. I despise Math."
She chuckled. "Naughty Fourth. Alright."
