So it turned out Dad really had gone missing, that's the main thing he came to tell my family in his army suit, my lip trembled and my heart raced, missing and gone were two different things, and if that army Sargent hadn't just handed me that flag I wouldn't know the difference.

I didn't hear what he was saying anymore his lips were moving soundlessly as I felt a sharp pain and a choking in my body, my Daddy couldn't be gone, could he.

I dropped the flag of red white and blue on the ground not waiting for it to clatter before I shoved pat the Sargent and ran down the street, I wished I'd tried harder to find Dad after that last phone call the only a month ago, I remembered hearing how worried and sad he sound during our conversation, and even still I really wasn't sure what had happened between him and Brett, it was something that I wasn't sure I had wanted to worry about, but maybe I should have.

It was long before I found myself awkwardly standing on the front step o blue eyes mansion door, I wasn't able to decided weather or not it would be a mistake to have come, but I needed comfort, and Blue eyes was the only one who could make me feel better, I didn't want to believe there was a chance Dad could be dead, I needed a plan to figure out what really happened.

I took a brave step up and urged myself to knock on the large door.

It opened showing the uptight face of mrs. green, she looked a little disheveled as to previous visits, we hadn't really talked since my birthday I think she just thought I was crazy or something.

"Hello." I said offering a simple smile to her, she looked down on me but nodded to me stepping a side letting me step inside, as I panted like crazy after my run, my limbs burned from the work out, and I wanted to just collapse.

"Miss Shane, you'll have to excuse my surprise but Xavier did not tell me he was expecting a guest." She said in that proper British accent, it was strange considering green and She Ezra both had Italian accents.

"No Mam, Ezra isn't expecting me...but if now is a bad time I can leave." I replied looking back at the door suddenly feeling stupid for even coming here, I didn't really know where I was going I just wanted to feels secure and have someone hold me, Just anything to make reality a little less real.

"No no, your here now, come in dear, we were all on the patio playing cards as a family, I do hope you enjoy a game of poker, " she grinned leading the way, I really want ready to face the rest of the Greens family right now.

"Really I'm sorry for coming, it's no trouble, I don't want to impose," I hesitantly said trying to get away from this situation.

She just gave me a look and I realized I wasn't going anywhere anytime soon so I followed her." It would be rude to refuse the invitation, especially on such rare occasion." She said almost scolding me, I was surprised but I still kept following her.

We walked there the exquisite mansion and to the back yard where it overlooked a small tropical like garden and I ground pool, with a hot tub sitting next to it, a set of outdoor furniture was in the far corner or the pool deck, it was beautiful.

I saw all the boys holding cards with thee father who I scowled at once I saw him, none f them noticed us approaching,

"Ah Boys, we have a guest!" Pauline announced as she waltzed along the cobble stone path, there heads curiously swung my way all giving me different looks from around the glass table, Ezra's brothers mostly looked surprised, Green looked horrified and disgusted, an Ezra confused and relieved at once.

"What do you want?" Green snarled quick to bark at me.

"Tsk tsk, Miss Shane came to see Xavier but I insisted she join us in our family event." Pauline grinned placing
a hand on my shoulders and pushing toward an empty. Hair beside Ezra and his youngest brother Edward. Sam smiled at me encouragingly.
