Cruising down the road was definitely different in my new truck, well new to me.
It was like I turned sixteen again and got my licence for the first time ever except this truck wasn't my dads, I frowned that how he would have felt knowing that his truck had been sold I swear he loved that truck as much as me!
I stopped at the lights and fiddled with the radio file, finding comfort in an old jazz station, I smiled sadly in remembrance of my fathers favourite music, I never liked jazz before when Dad used to play it Id listen to it but I never enjoyed it until now, I guess that goes to show that you don't know what you have until its's gone, even though I am sure that my father isn't really dead.
I dialled seven familiar digits on my iPhone waiting fir an answer on the other line as i drove off again when the light changed green.
"Hey babe." Ezra's warm voice answered groggily, it made me wish I was there with him curled up to his chest doing absolutely nothing, but thinking.
"Hi, did I wake you?" I asked not feeling bad if I had.
"Ah kinda... but anyway how was your Thanks Giving dinner?." he asks lazily, his first words were almost hesitant witch I couldn't help but wonder why.
"ya it was fine, but I have more pressing matters then to chit chat about pointless shit like the holiday festivities, so if your free I was hoping we could have breakfast, maybe at the diner? " I tap my fingers impatiently on the wheel.
"if it means spending time with you Ill pick you up in an hour." I couldn't help but smile at his answer, even though I wanted to talk about quite urgent matters, I would be lying if I said I didn't look forward to a kiss.
"Great, but change of plans I'm actually thirty minutes from your house so Ill pick you up." I grinned into the phone, i couldn't wait to show off my truck, even if he didn't care.
"pease tell me Clyde isn't third wheeling or anyone else?" he groans dramatically, I laugh slightly.
"no just me anyways ill see you in a bit okay?" he agrees before hanging up.

I nocked on the door that every time I saw it I felt like I wouldn't get use to the size, but then again it was a freaking mansion.
The door opened showing the face of the infamous Mrs. Green, I smiled politely, she almost grinned at me, interesting considering I was sure she didn't like me, but either way it was much better to see her then Green.
"good morning."
"Twice in one week miss Shane, how nice, do come in." He beckons me in and closes the door behind us.
"I don't require formality mam, you can just call me Shane please." I asked all this miss stuff was stupid in my opinion.
She gave a me a blank look before looking offended." You are a young women, you should require such formality, if you expect to be respected." She furrowed her eyebrows in disapproval.
"Okay." I didn't really now how to respond .
"Do you know where Ezra is?" I asked as she started walking toward the kitchen.
"Still in the shower, you will wait in the kitchen, have you eaten yet?" She asked, I followed her, she was so proper it was... strange to say the least.
"No mam we are going out for breakfast." I told her I heard stirring and voices as we got closer to the kitchen once we were there I saw the whole family.
"I see, well make your self at home." She replays with a smile again, I guess she got over my comment.
"Thank you..." I said awkwardly as everyone looked at me." Umm maybe I'll go wait in my truck I'm sorry to intrude again." I said apologetically, I did feel bad, it looked like the youngest boy was in the dining room already, and it looked like the rest of the family was on there way over to eat.
