"RUN!" I hear Aimee shouting, interrupting mine and Matty's conversation.

We jump up and run after her, not looking behind us where security guards were obviously following us. We turn a sharp corner and charge down the high street, shoppers fall backwards, trying to get out of our way.

"Stop them!" A booming voice shouts from behind us. A big burly man stands in our path but Aimee punches him in the groin which causes him to fall to the floor groaning. We speed up, adrenalin pushing us forward, until we get stopped by a ten foot drop.

"What do we do?" Matty asks, looking behind us at the security guards closing in.

"We have to jump," Aimee says, looking over the drop.

"Are you fucking mental?" Matty exclaims, "that's at least fifteen feet!"

"She's right," I nod, "it's that or get caught and I don't know about you but me and Aimee have previous so we'll get locked up."

"JUMP!" Aimee shouts as one of the security guards grabs her arm. She jumps over the ledge, landing safely on all fours. Matty and I follow, dropping down onto the hard ground.

"Shit!" Matty shouts out as he hits the floor.

"What's wrong?" I spin around, checking my body for any pain. None.

"My arm is broken." he tells me.

"It might be a sprain," I suggest, trying to make him feel better which I'm not expert at because I'm not a sympathetic person for anyone seeing as I don't care much for anyone.

"Nope," he shakes his head and turns to face me, "definitely broken."

"Holy fucking shit!" I scream, holding back a gag. Aimee doesn't do that well and throws up on the pavement. Matty's bone has pierced his skin and is sticking out, blood is dripping out heavily and he's as pale as a ghost.

"We need to find a hospital," I say, looking up to where the security guards are no where to be seen, "before they find us."

"There must be one nearby," Aimee says, "but Thorn, I need to go, I have an...appointment."

"Go, I'll see you later!" I laugh, knowing she means a drug deal.

Matty and I find a hospital not far from where we jumped from the ledge. We told the doctors we were doing parkour and he fell awkwardly. I'm sent out of the room as he changes into his gown for obvious reasons. As it's a compound fracture he has to stay for a while and have surgery to reset it. When I go back into Matty's room he hands me his phone.

"Can you phone my mum please?" He asks, "but call me Matt to her." I nod and go into his private bathroom to call her.

"Hello Matt!" His mum answers happily, sounding as if she'd just been laughing.

"Hello, is this his mother?" I ask, unsure of what to say because it obviously is his mum.

"Yes," she answers, becoming more serious, "who's this?"

"I'm Rose, Matt's friend," I tell her, "um Matt is in hospital with a broken arm and he asked me to phone you."

"Oh dear god!" She exclaims, "George! Matt's in hospital, we need to go right now. We'll be right there Rose, thank you for staying with him."

"Um you're welcome," I say, "it's Stark Hospital by the way."

"What?" She halts for a moment, seeming confused, "that's on the outskirts of Newcastle. Never mind, we'll be as quick as we can."
