Chapter 1  - Welcome to the Neighborhood

"Vee! I already told you this house is lit!" Lily Rose Veras screamed while touring the two storey house. It was a house that painted in a dirty white outside kaya mukha itong luma pero sosyaleng haunted house tignan samantalang ibang-iba naman ito sa loob, the living room and the other parts inside the house was painted with an old rose color with a touch of silver. The three bedroom in the second floor was painted in a pastel color. One of the three bedroom was painted in a baby pink, the other is light green and the last one is painted with lilac. 

"This will be mine!" Lily sheepishly smile while pointing the room with the light green pastel color. "This room and the lilac colored room got the view we wanted or I should say you wanted."

Victoria Isabella rolled her eyes at Lily. Hindi parin mawala ang malaking ngisi ni Lily. Hinayaan niya ito and she go to the room painted in lilac. She scanned the whole room it got a double size bed beside the bed is a nightstand, a vanity table and a built in closet. She immediately check the sliding door of the veranda it is connected to the veranda of Lily's room mayroon din itong dalawang bean bags at mini coffee table sa gitna. 

She smiled that Lily is right. She immediately felt the presence of Lily beside her. Lumabas na pala ito sa kanyang kwarto.

"What can you say Vee?" 

"Good." matipid na tugon niya rito na kinasimangot naman ng kasama niya

"I said... What can you say Vee?" Lily asked in a tone of sarcastic

Humarap naman si Vee and she smirked. "I also said. Good."

Naglakad na palabas si Vee sa kwarto para pumunta sa salas at kunin ang kanyang maleta. The house is fully furnished at may mga gamit narin ito. Kaya proud na proud si Lily ipagmalaki ang bahay dahil siya mismo ang humanap, bumili, nag-ayos at nag-lagay ng mga gamit in just a couple of weeks.

"Vee, baka bukas dadating yung iba pang mga gamit," saad ni Lily habang pababa ng hagdan at saka ito dumiretso sa kusina para kumuha ng tubig "what do you want to do for now?" pahabol na sabi nito habang may bitbit na baso na may malamig na tubig saka lumapit kay Vee

"Scout the area." tipid na tugon nito. Binitbit naman niya ang kanyang maleta para iakyat sa kanyang kwarto.

"But, I already done that!"

"I didn't."

Lily scoffed na sadya namang ikinangiti ni Vee. 

"Are you going to accompany me?" Vee asked

"Do I have a choice?" rinig niyang tanong ni Lily galing sa first floor

Mas lumapad ang ngiti niya ng sabihin ang salitang "nope" kay Lily

Lily just scoffed at what Vee said. Wala naman talaga siyang magagawa. Ba ka mawala pa ito sa lugar kung hahayaan lang nito mag-isa. Daig pa naman nito si Dora kung mag-explore. Nawala nga ito nang dalawang taon at hindi nila alam kung saan ito nagsusuot maliban nalang sa ama nito.

Agad siyang sumalampak sa sofa and she turn on the tv because it is the time slot of her favorite show. After a few minutes she decided to dial the number of their favorite pizza shop to order dahil gutom na siya at nag-crave siya bigla ng pizza.

Maya-maya't tumunog ang doorbell kaya dumiretso naman si Lily sa pinto. She immediately concluded that it must be the pizza delivery guy. Pagkatapos niya bayaran ang delivery boy ay kinuha niya ang dalawang box ng pizza. Lily got excited when she still feel that the pizza is still warm. Kaya agad siyang bumalik sa living area. Nilagay ang pizza sa coffee table and without second thought she immediately open the two boxes containing the pizzas.

Lily's eyes twinkled when she grab the slice of pizza and the cheese got stretched in a very tasty way. Tinawag niya naman si Vee na kakatapos lang mag-ayos ng kanyang mga gamit.

Silence engulfed the living room. Lily and Victoria are busy chewing the pizza while watching the tv show.

"This area doesn't seem so bad," Vee said while nodding while she scanned the streets "but, it lacks security. Maraming akong nababalitaan tungkol sa mga magnanakaw."

Matapos nilang kumain kanina ay nagdesisyunan nila na ikutin ang ilang kanto ng subdivision. The subdivision is too broad para maikot nila ang kabuuhan nito. Kaya iniikot lang nila ang mga streets na malapit sa bahay nila. Tahimik ang paligid at may iilang tao lang silang nakikita sa daan at sa mga labas ng bahay. They both concluded that ang ibang mga may-ari ng bahay ay nasa kaniya-kaniyang trabaho, ang mga bata at teenagers ay  nasa paaralan pa and lastly naa loob lang ng bahay at natutulog dahil alas tres pa ngayon nang hapon oras ng siesta.

"Vee, this place is not a exclusive subdivision and even if this is a exclusive subdivision there are always thieves." Lily retaliated

"Wala ba yung barangay tanod na tinitawag na maglilibot dito?" 

"I don't know. Who cares anyway." Lily can't stop to roll her eyes. "Besides, kung papasukin man tayo ng magnanakaw. I doubt kung makakalabas pa sila ng buhay." 

Vee smirked hearing those words from Lily.

"I feel bad for them already." Lily continues while shaking her head 

Napahinto naman sila sa paglalakad sa tahimik na daan ng may bumusina sa kanilang likuran. Medyo malayo pa naman ang sasakyan mula sakanila kaya agad hinatak ni Lily si Victoria para bigyan ng daan ang kulay itim na Porsche Macan. 

Sa hindi kalayuan ay huminto ang sasakyan sa isang cream colored modern style house. Lumabas ang may-ari ng sasakyan na agad naman nagpahinto kay Vee sa paglalakad.

Their eyes met. 

Victoria Isabella was captivated with the man who own the same cerulean eyes of his father. 

It was like Victoria is being read through her soul. Kaya agad niyang pinutol ang kanilang pagtitingan. She mentally cursed at herself. 

Nagpatuloy naman sila sa paglalakad. Nalampasan nila ang lalaki and Victoria heaved a sigh ng mapansin niya na malapit na sila sa bahay. 

Hindi naman napansin ng kasama niya ang kinilos ni Victoria dahil diretso lang ito naglalakad patungo ng kanilang bahay. Which she is thankful.

"Project: Ignitus, when are we going to start?" Lily asked habang  pumapasok na sila ng bahay

"After we established trust."
