Chapter 8 - Let's play
Napatingin naman ang lahat sa pinto ng bumukas ito at iniluwa ang walang emosyong si Victoria. Naglalakad lang ito patungo sa pwesto ni Amir at ibinigay ang walang laman na syringe. Tinapik niya ito ng ilang beses at binaling ang tingin kay Lily at Luna. She cocked her head signaling that they are going. Walang imik naman itong lumakad palabas ng hideout. Sumunod naman ang dalawa babae. Lily even waved her hand at the boys na parang mga tanga dahil sa reaksyon nila bago ito lumabas sa hideout.
Lily is the one who drove the car during the whole duration. Nakaupo sa shotgun naman si Luna na tahimik lamang. Sa likod naman si Victoria na wala paring emosyon sa mukha.
Wala man itong emosyon makikita sa mukha pero ito ay naiinis sa lalaki kanina. Kaya hindi niya nakaya at binaril niya ito ng walang pagaalinlangan. She got a very short temperament today. Hindi rin mawala sa isip niya kung sino ang amo nung lalaking walang kwenta kausap kanina. Mukha naman itong mababang subordinate. Hindi masyadong malaking kawalan.
Lily pursed her lips dahil kating-kati itong tanungin ang kaibigan. But, she forced her will not to the main reason is that Victoria might point her a gun and the worst scenario she will pull the trigger unconsciously. At hindi niya namamalayan ay nasa langit na pala siya kasama si San Pedro at ng kanyang sikat na manok. Napakamot naman siya ng ulo dahil sa mga imaheng nakikita niya.
"Luna."
Napatuwid naman ang dalawang nakaupo sa shotgun at driver's seat. Nagkatinginan silang dalawa saglit and Lily used her eyes to give a comfort and support.
Luna faced Victoria with her natural innocent face. Victoria didn't bother to look at her because she is busy looking at the car window's outside view. Luna gulped to calm her nerves, "yes, prin... Uh... Victoria?"
"Before, Amir capture those hideous creatures did they make a report to their boss?" Still not looking at her
"They did. The person that Amir accidentally killed sent a cryptic code to an untraceable number."
"Did you try to crack the cryptic code?"
"Unfortunately, no."
"What about the number?"
A dead silence filled the car. Victoria glance at her with her passive face and return to the outside view. "I'll take that as a no."
Pasipat-sipat naman si Lily sa dalawa gamit ang rearview mirror. She didn't attempt to asked a question dahil kilalang-kilala niya ang expression ng kaibigan niya. She's thinking deeply and she is in her own world.
Umayos naman ng upo si Luna. "Where we should drop you?" Lily asked while giving the girl a glance.
"Sa company nalang."
"Okay."
Tahimik ang kanilang byahe at makilipas ang ilang minuto ay binaba na niya ang kasama niyang si Luna sa lokasyon. She gave her a smile and waived in return she also gave a smile and she waived. Pumasok na ang dalaga sa building. She still didn't start the car and she is staring at Victoria using the rearview mirror.
Nang maramdaman naman ng dalaga ang mga titig nito ay tinignan niya ito gamit ang salamin at tinaasan niya ito ng kilay.
"For goodness sake! Transfer here in front do I look like your driver?" Iritang turan nito. Napangisi naman ang dalaga at bumaba sa backseat upang lumipat sa shotgun.
"You look like one though."
Lily grunted and she started the car's engine and drive.
"A penny for your thoughts."
