he gave an awkward smile realizing their position. For petes sake they look like a secret lovers who were hiding to avoid being caught. Well, it is a little bit correct. The fact that she is hiding and preventing this man to get involved in her circumstances.

She take a quick glance at the suspicious car and they it is nowhere to be found. She thought of two possibility. One, they didn't see her and continue to search for her in the other parts of the subdivision. Two, they got silent.

Anyway, she released her hands against his chest and took a step three times backwards.

"Sorry." She uttered smiling apologetically, "nice pair of eyes by the way."

He chuckled and says his thanks.

He didn't bother to asked why she suddenly grab him. Instead, he is studying her back figuring out why she did that. They continue to jog but this time Victoria keep her senses sharp.

...And she felt the piercing eyes from her back. "It's sharp enough to kill me. If stares can kill." She stated like it was nothing.

Sumabay na sakanyang pace si Aiden. "Sorry, couldn't help but stare at you."

"You could've just asked if you're curious." She said ignoring the cheesy line of Aiden

Nagpatuloy lang sila sa pag-jog. Hindi na nakita pa ang mga taong umaaligid kanina. She is thinking again the two possible outcome she could think of. Namalayan nalang niya na nasa tapat na pala siya ng kanyang bahay. She stopped at humarap sa lalaking kasama niya.

"Thank you for accompanying me neighbor." She let out a smile na ikinabigla ni Aiden

A smile can make her look more lovable and gorgeous. Paano nalang kaya kung tumawa ito o ang full smile nito?

He coughed to fix his composture in front of this lady. "Be careful, Isabella."  He said with a sincerity

"Don't worry neighbor. I can handle it. They are just some petty stalkers." Petty stalkers, huh. Lame. She said at the back of her mind. Pero, ang mas mahalaga ngayon ay hindi masali ang lalaking nasa harap niya. She could protect him but she thinks it will be troublesome and problematic. Besides, until now she still doesn't know who are those bastards.

"Well, if it is a beauty like you. I wouldn't be shock if you got some stalkers." He stated like it was nothing

"I bet you got many girls."

"Girls want me."

"Ha, such a smooth talker." She said while shooking her head

"Just be careful. It's dangerous nowadays."

"Even if it is an age of peace. Danger wouldn't diminish. They are still lurking within the shadows."

He chuckled and snide a comment, "deep."

"Got to go. Be careful neighbor. Girls might rape you. It's dangerous nowadays." She said jokingly without smiling looking serious na ikinatawa naman ni Aiden.

"I wouldn't mind if it is a beauty like you." He waved his hand habang tumatakbo palayo

She shook her head while saying, "smooth talker neighbor." Tuluyan na siyang pumasok sa kanilang bahay.

Bumati sakanya ang amoy ng kape pagkapasok palang niya sa bahay. Naririnig din niya ang mga kalinsing ng mga gamit sa kusina. Senyales na may ginagawa ang kaibigan niya.

Kumuha siya ng bangong labang tuwalya mula sa mga bagong tuping damit na naka-pwesto sa sofa to wiped her small sweats in her forehead using the towel. Before entering the kitchen. She turned off the tv dahil wala namang taong nanunuod.

When she entered the kitchen and she was greeted by Lily who was wearing floral pattern black apron. She is busy making a salad while humming happily. When Lily felt her presence she gave her a warm smile.

"Good morning Vee! Punta kana sa mesa. Let's start our lovely day."

She followed her friend's instruction. She was amazed dahil sa rami ng pagkain ang nakahain sa mesa. Dumating naman si Lily para ilagay ang salad na kanyang ginawa. She removed her apron and sat at her opposite direction.

"Let's eat!" She announced

Victoria didn't move an inch dahil tinitignan niya parin ang mga pagkaon na nakahain sa mesa. She looked at her friend intensely and she couldn't help but asked, "is it your birthday?"

"Nawala ka lang ng ilang taon nakalimutan mo na ang birthday ko. It's not my birthday today." Sabi ng kanyang kaibigan na may bahid ng pagtatampo sa boses nito

"I didn't forgot about the date of your birthday. It's just that why did you cook many dishes as if we are celebrating something?" She said inquired

Napakibit balikat naman si Lily, kumuha ito ng isang slice ng sandwich at naglagay din ng salad sa kanyang plato. "Nothing, I'm just feeling great today."

Kinuha niya ang set of pancakes and she started to pour some maple syrup. "Does somebody keeping our tabs?" She asked

"What do you mean by that?" Lily asked while munching her sandwich.

"Watching over us."

"If your dad knows about what happen that day. He may order to keep us monitored. You are his precious after all."

"I see."

"Why sudden question Vee?"

Their conversation was interrupted when Lily's phone rings. Uminom muna ito ng kape at nagpunas ng labi.
"Geez, change your ringtone!" Victoria snide a comment, she hated her friend's ringtone because it is baduy and she doesn't understand why her friend love that kind of music.

"What? It's cute." Lily stated defensively

"It's ugly."

"Whatever!" She rolled her eyes at Victoria. She got up to answer the phonecall.

After a few seconds. Nakasimangot itong bumalik sa lamesa at umupo ito na tila nawala lahat ng kasiyahan sa katawan. "It's your guardian send by your father. They want us to come to our west location hideout. They caught the men who are monitoring-slash-searching-slash-I-don't-know-who-the-heck-they-are,"
she said while poking her salad liked a child who got swindled her lollipop. "why do I feel that this is the start of my horrible day?"

Hindi naman mapigilan na mapangisi ng dalaga sa inasal ng kaibigan, "Come on, it's lovely day today." She teased

Lily just grumbled and stomped her feet while eating her sandwich and salad.

Hello, finally I managed to update this story for a long time. I got busy submitting my final requirements last semester.
