30 // I Love You Jack

I waited in the kitchen with Brad.

"Deep breaths Dais, keep calm" He said looking into my eyes.

We heard the door open and then close.

"Daisy Redford?" I quickly spun around to see a Middle Aged woman with short brown hair. She was smarty dressed and holding a clip board and pen.

"That's me" I fake smiled.

We all took a seat at the table. Me and brad on one side, her on the other.

"Ok so you spoke to Jason and Maria yesterday...is that correct" she said slipping her glasses on.

I nodded and she wrote something.

"Ms.Redford, you do have to understand that by illegal reasons Jack is not permitted to living here. Do you understand that?" I nodded, tears building up.

"Why not? It's not asif were not capable to take care of him" Brad said looking irritated.

"Excuse me who are you?" She said quite rudely.

"Brad, Bradley Simpson" Brad replied as she took notes.

"And how many other people live in this apartment Mr.Simpson?" She asked.

"6 live here but 2 people are here on a regular basis" He replied calmly.

"I see" She took more notes.

Her phone rung and she answered it. I figured it was someone important because they were speaking for about 15 minutes.

"I have some good news for you" She said once she hung the phone up.

"Your Mothers mum has kindly agreed to take Jack in under her care...Carol is her name right?" She said and I nodded.

"Carol has agreed to pick Jack up at 2pm today...so approximately 4 hours" She said piling her papers together.

"Ok so thank you Daisy and Bradley" She said shaking our hands.

"I'll make my own way out but please stay strong and if you ever need anyone to talk to...you have my phone number" she smiled then left.

"How'd it go Dais" Tris asked once me and Brad entered the living room.

"Fine" I smiled sitting next to Jack.

"Guess who your living with Jack?" I said placing him on my lap.

"Nana carol" I said giving a cheesy grin.

"Why can't I live with mummy?" He said looking into my eyes.

"Because mummy's watching us from heaven, so you better behave for Nana" I said. I hate this, I wish I could rewind time.

"I love you Jack" I said kissing his head as he hugged me.

"Has he got all of his stuff?" Carol said buckling Jack into the car.

I nodded a tear slipping down my face.

"Daisy, don't cry" She pulled me into a hug, "Were only a few hours away, your welcome down anytime" She kissed my hair then got Into her car.

"I'll call you" she shouted before she drove away.

"Bye Nana, Bye Jack" I shouted and he blew me a kiss and I fell to the ground.

I watched the car get further and further away.

Then it got out of sight.

I can't do this.
