"Something to live for..."

AALIYAH'S POV

We stood in that forest for hours talking about the things I had missed while I was gone.Even though all who he really talked about was how Gray was a stripper popsicle... It's funny how much they talk about each other and yet they can't live without each other. Once in a while I would catch Natsu staring at me for no reason. It's weird how we've been apart for two years and yet me and him talk like nothing ever happened.
"We should get back to the guild!" Natsu says before standing up.
"I should-!" I was cut off by Natsu picking me up.
"Natsu what are you doing?" I exclaim banging my fists on his chest.
"I'm taking you home!" Was the last words he said before taking off into the forest.I held onto Natsu's vest for dear life he was running so fast it was almost inhumane.As I looked up at him his face looked really red. What's wrong with him?
"Natsu your face is red... Are you alright?" I lay my hand on his forehead...It was really hot... To hot..
"S-sorry A-Aaliyah,uhh y-your c-clothes!"
Natsu says before looking up again. As I look down I realise what I was wearing... I had a pair of very!...Very! Short shorts on a little to short for my comfort, and my shirt was torn leaving open a huge gap of my chest. I quickly cover myself up.
"Why didn't you say anything idiot!?" I scream hitting Natsu on his head.
"Ha.. Ha sorry I guess I was so excited I didn't realise what you had on." He replied. Without a warning Natsu stopped running and made me almost fall out of his arms.
"What are you doing?" I ask as I watch him take off his vest. He then hands it to me and looks away hiding the tint of pink on his cheeks.
"It's not much... But it should do till we get home!" His eyes look at mine before he looks away again.
"Aww aren't you the sweetheart!" I tease.
"S-shut u-up!" He mumbled while putting his scarf over his flushed face.
Once I put his vest on I jump on his back.
"Ok let's go!" I say wrapping my legs around his waist.Thinking about it now I've been gone for two whole years.... So that means my apartment is gone... Great well I guess I have to start doing jobs as soon as possible.I look up to see Natsu staring at me.
"What?" I give him a confused look.
"Ah uh n-nothing! " He says before looking forward. What is his deal with staring at me seriously!

NATSU'S POV

That's weird I could have sworn I heard her voice....but it was in my head.I start to feel a lot of pain in my back.I turn around to see Aaliyah asleep she had her head rested on my shoulder. Honestly I liked when she was asleep. Every time I had the chance I could see her face at rest. She was beautiful with her dark brown eyes and long curl magenta hair. Finally I made it to my house. As I carried Aaliyah up the stairs I could hear her mumble something.
"Acnalogia...Jade....Igneel...Metallica" Aaliyah whispers. I just stare at her.. Why did she say Igneel? WAIT ACNALOGIA and METALLICA?Once I reach my room I set Aaliyah down on the bed.
"What are you talking about?" I whisper.Surprisingly she answered me.
"The Dragons....our parents...will not return!Dragon Slayers must die" She says before her eyes shoot open. What was she saying?Out of nowhere she started glowing. I grab onto her shoulders trying to wake her up... But all she kept saying was 'Dragon Slayers must die!'.
"Dragon Slayers must die!" Aaliyah chanted.
"Aaliyah wake up!" I said shaking her harder.
"Natsu Dragneel... Gajeel Redfox..Wendy Marvel... Sting Elcuiff.. Rogue Cheney... Cobra... Laxus Dreyar...will die!" Aaliyah States before standing up.
"How do y-you know Sting, Rogue, and Cobra you weren't even here!" I screamed.Aaliyah turns to face me.. She.. She was crying! Her eyes looked glossy and her face was red. What's wrong with her what is she saying. Before I could say anything I see Aaliyah fall to the floor I run over to catch her. But I couldn't hold her for long because her body was burning up to the point not even I can touch her. I took the pain and placed her back on the bed.I heard her heart beat get slower and slower.She was finally calm and fast asleep. I soon lay beside her and fall asleep.

NATSU'S POV

Wet... For some reason my neck felt wet. I open my eyes and blink a few times. I look to my right to see Aaliyah still asleep. But she wasn't like that when I fell asleep did she move? I was knocked out of my thoughts when I felt a weird sensation on my neck.As I stood up I walk over to the bathroom and looked in the mirror.My eyes widen.
"What the..." Was the only thing I could say. I take off my scarf to see little bite marks....How did I get bite marks. I ran my hand over the marks feeling my fingertips tingle from the wetness.I wipe away the sticky liquid off my neck and head back into the room. Aaliyah was rolled into a cute little ball. 'Bite her Natsu!'I heard a voice say. "What? Why would I do that?". 'You want her...your mate!... Bite her! 'The voice says louder."I'm not going to bite my sleeping friend!".'So... She bit you... Why not return the favor' the voice chants. "Wait so thats were those marks came from?" I thought before rubbing my neck. 'Yes my boy..make her yours before another will.' I walk over to Aaliyah and moved the blanket off her body...I watched as her chest moved up and down. I could her her heartbeat, her breathing, her sweet scent filled my nose. I look at her neck and lick my lips... Without thinking I move Aaliyah's shirt away from her neck.... Then I stopped when I saw a black ruin on her chest. It looked like vines, the ruin started from her neck and traveled its way down over her chest.My hand started to move on its own...my fingertips slide over the black ruin. Her skin was warm....
"N-Nastu....?" Aaliyah says in an afraid tone. I look up at her and remove my hand from her chest.
"A-Aaliyah i-its n-not w-what i-it l-looks l-like! " I Studdered taking a couple of steps back.
"W-what were you doing?....Why would you touch it?" She says putting her hand over the ruin.
"What is that?" I ask walking closer to her.She looks at me and signs.
"I've always had it... Ever since I was young." Aaliyah says crossing her arms.
"How come I never noticed it? " I exclaim.
"I always tried to keep it hidden that's why?"she says in a stern voice. The tension starts to get thicker.. The first time in my life I've been awkward around my best friend. Without another word I turn to walk out the room.
"Please don't leave..." Aaliyah says while snuggling into the blanket. I turn to look at her.
"Y-you want m-me to stay?" I ask with caution.
"Yes please!" Aaliyah replies holding out her arms. I walk over to her and sit beside her. She lays her head on my shoulder.Not long before she snuggles her face into my neck.. I felt the bite marks tingle due to her touch.
Something was different about Aaliyah..well I guess that's what happens when your stuck in a forest for two years.As I lay Aaliyah back down I look at her for a few minutes... She was hiding something from me I  know she is... But question is why do I feel sad that she would even hide something from me? We're friends... Right?As I lay my head on her chest her heart was beating slow.. I have to admit hearing this sound let's me know as long as she's here with me I'll always have something to live for!
