Chapter 16: Mariah

* Angie's POV *

Mariah is growing up so fast. She just turned six and Ryder is two now. They grow up so fast. She is a beautiful young girl. She is very smart, kind, generous, and caring.  She is going to be a very good girl through her whole life. She is still very tall for her age. She is in second grade and popular.

* Matt's POV *

My little Mariah is six now and adorable. She looks a lot like her mom. Then that means Ryder will look a lot like me, I hope. I do know that sheisvery popular and athletic. I am super proud of what she has done around the world. She helped people escape poverty and helped out by giving money to the National Humane Society. I'm proud of her.

* Mariah's POV *

I can tell that mommy and daddy are proud of me.I give my money to help out people in poverty and give the National Humane Society money. I like to help people out and I am very popular. I am also the tallest person in my class. I don'tlike being tall at all.My best friend is Kayla and she is also very tall.

When I'm at school I always get pulled out of it because I need to get a couple awards. I hate it because i just want to live a normal life. I guess I like it because at least I'm helping people out. The next thing I'm doing is going on The Talk and some news shows and stuff like that.

* Jewel's POV *

I am proud of Mariah for what she has done so far in her life and she's only six. I mean I must've helped really good and Ang was a role model same as me. I hope my son does that too. I hope he is like Mariah. Yeah I had a son his name is Christopher. I hope he will be one of the world's next role models like Mariah.

* Shawn's POV *

I am very proud of Mariah she is like my own child even though she's not. She asked me if I would go on the talk with her and not her dad. That is saying something isn't it. I have a son that I would hope would ask Matt if he got something like that happen to him. I would be proud of him if he took after Mariah.

I can't wait until the interviews. It means a lot to me that she chose me instead of Matt, I was flabberghasted. 

A couple days later. So the interview on The Talk.

* Shawn's POV *

 I am so freaking nervous that I could pee my pants. I have never had to anything like this before. Only Nash has which is fine by me. I did not realize that when we got there it would be this nerve racking. Ugh, just want this day to be over with. Mariah looks like she is ready to go on stage and isn't nervous at all. How does she manage that? 

Then the back stage manager calls out, "Time to get out there Shawn and Mariah." We start heading out and seeing all the people in the crowd is very overwhelming. I can't help but laugh a little. Then we take our seats and begin the interview and have fun. 

The first questionasked goes towards me, "Are you her dad or no?"  I shake my head no, then they all say, "Aw. So are you her uncle or family friend?" I shake my head yes I'm just speachless, so I don't say anything. Then Mariah cherps in, "This is his first time doing this so he will be speachless. He may not answer right away. So, give him a break." All I can do is smile at her and nod in agreement.

* Angie's POV *

I am so proud of Mariah she is taking the lead and not shy at all. It is great and meaningful. Then Matt comes in and kisses me lightly on the forehead. Which was great and I love him so much so it was ok. I'm not having second thoughts about him it is just that we have been fighting a lot. Since Mariah has left with Shawn who is really nervous right now.
