Chapter 20: Setting Up and Surprise

* Angie's POV *

 I just dropped off Mariah or M. Then I have to run to the store to get confetti, streamers, and some dinosaur and superhero stuff. Ryder he loves superheros and dinosaurs. So, this might be his most favorite birhtday ever. In his history of birhtdays. I hope it is at least. 

When I get to the store I buy fifteen packages of streamers and twenty packages of confetti. Then I am on my mission to find some dinosaurs. This is gonna take a while to find them.

I do endless searching for the dinosaurs. I go down the toy isles and then I try the party section. Where I immediately find superhero stuff. Then I still have to find the dinosaurs. This is gonna be helpless. So I just go out and buy this stuff. It comes to a total cost of 50 dollars. It should have came to a total of 120 dollars. I guess this is the reason why they call me the bargain hunting machine. 

I head out of Walmart and then I load all of the stuff into the trunk. I leave and head to K-Mart. I hate shopping there but it is my last resort to go to. When I walk in it is like they are reading my mind. They have a huge box of dinosaur party supplies that I take and buy. Then i head out of there and go to the community center.

* Matt's POV *

 I am the lucky one that gets to get the dinosaur cake and the super hero cake. How am I gonna top this next year? I mean like Ang has to help but it is my idea next year on what to have for Ryder's birhtday but oh well.

I get to Dairy Queen and buy the cakes. They are ice cream cakes, of course. Why wouldn't they be? I get into the car and I drive off to the community center.  We only have today and a little bit of tomorrow to set up. So, we got to start as soon as Ang gets there. 

Ang finally show up and we start setting everything up. I get to do the streamer because I'm tall and not afraid of heights. And is doing the confetti. She simply just shakes it on the ground and on the tables. Then we move to the plates which doesn't take that long because all we do is have to put them dinosaur, then superhero, and so on. When we are done with that we set up all the posters and help the D.J. set up his equipment.

When we are all done it is the next day and we call Ms. Tarena (Kori's mom) to come over and look at we have done and bring over Kori and Mariah. Then I have to run over and get Logan and Tyler. I get them and then I have to wait for there older sisters. They always take forever because they have to be perfect and make there little sisters perfect. It annoys me so much and it must annoy them too.

* Angie's POV *

Everyone is starting to show up and they were all in awe at what we have done. I'm sad that my mom and dad can't come. They died in a car crash a year ago. So at least Matt's are still around to come.

I call Ms. Tarena:

Ms. T: Hello Ang

A: Hey you can start bringing them over and yourself too

Ms. T: Ok I will be over there in a little bit i have to wake up M and K

Ang: Ok bye see you later

Ms. T: bye I'll see you later too

Then I hang up and I have to call Hayes or Nash. Which one though. I decided I'd call Hayes but wait for M to get here first though. They get here and I pull out my Smart Phone and call Hayes. He answers like immediately.

H: Hey good morning to you Ang

A: Thank you. You can start heading over in like ten minutes ok

H: Ok bye love you big sis

A: Love you too little bro bye

I hang up and go over to M and K and give them big hugs and say, "How was your weekend together?" They give me a thumbs up and Matt walks in with Logan and Tyler and there sisters. M gives Logan's sisters hugs and then she gives Logan a hug. He hugs back and I instantly think young love. I look at K and she does the same thing and I think the same thing again. Then Hayes texts me.

H: We will be there in about a minute so start hiding

A: ok then

I start by saying, "They will be here in about a minute or so. That means start finding a hiding place to surprise Ryder." Then I hope off the stage and look at everyone hiding. I go to my hiding spot which is by the door. Then they walk in and Nash yells, "Anybody here." That was our que. Everyone jumped ot of their hiding spot and yelled, "Happy Birthday Ryder!!!!" Then everyone gives him a hug one by one.

 * Ryder's POV *

I am scared. I don't like surprises. I absolutely hate them. I am three years old now. YAY FOR ME!!!!

Skips food and goes to cake......

"I love this cake," I scream at my mom. She just smiles at me and I see Mariah hanging out with Logan and Tyler with Kori. That is all she ever does is hang out with Kori and them. I miss her playing with me and arguing with her about stuff. I wish she would come and play with me for a little bit.

Then I hear music and it is Mahogany LOX. She is like my second mom. I love her so I go up and give her a hug and she hugs me back. She always knows what I want. She says, "What is wrong down there, Ryder?" I answer back, "I want Mariah to came and dance or play with me. I miss her playing and messing around with me." She give me a sympathetic look and says, "I know how that feels. That used to be me and my older brother Josh." Then I smile at her and she lets me choose the next song and lets me help her with being the D.J. So I turn out to really like my birhtday party.

Author's Note

Hey Lovelys, I don't know if Mahogany has a brother or not so just bear with me. See what I did there.  Anyways sorry if it sucked. I am sick and I barely know what I'm doing. So I will write a better one tomorrow maybe. Wish me luck i might have an ear infection, nose infection, swollen tonsels, and vocal nougeuls. Tell me what it is like after surgery cause I am scared if I do have it.
