Hunger Games - I Volunteer!

We were taken to the top of where the we had the parade for the crowing ceremony. President Snow lifted up the crown and both of us stood. Snow placed the crown on my head.

"congratulations" he spoke

"thank you" i replied

"what a lovely pin"  he complemented my mocking jay.

"thank you it's from my district."

"they must be very proud of you" was the last thing he said before going to crown Peeta. i looked over at him and he gave me a reassuring smile before he was crowned.

the next day we were preparing to go home i hugged Cinna goodbye.

"now make sure you don't forget me girl on fire" he smiled

"how could i ever i will be lost without your advice" i chuckled i smiled and stood on the train waving goodbye as the doors closed. then went into the food car.

"why so glum" i pouted at Effie then hugged her.

"you know i will miss you believe it or not. nagging at me to be respectful and a girl."  i straightened up.

"well you needed telling and don't you dare think about not keeping in contact" i laughed

"of course not you'd come and visit to make sure i wasn't ruining the victor image." she hummed then i moved onto Haymitch

"ah my mentor who should really be a drunk." i joked

"what what your saying sweetheart" he retorted then smiled leaving with Effie. It was just me and Peeta who wrapped his arms around my back.

"not long now" he whispered

"i know. i think after we've been greeted i will run and attack my family with hugs god I've missed them." he laughed.

"yeah i wish i would have the same reaction" i turned to face him.

"from your dad you will. As for your Mum and brothers tell them to sod off." he shook his head

"what would i do without you"

"die a horrible death. but let's not talk about that will you be moving to the victors village?" i asked going to get some food.

"yeah Haymitch said i could stay with him. i did consider taking a house and moving my family in" i snorted

"exactly"

"Lilly! Peeta!" Effie screeched i shot up.

"get ready we're nearly there" she added i sighed and showered before getting dressed i went to the breakfast cart and had something to eat finishing just as we pulled in. Peeta held out his hand.

"Together" he stated i smiled taking it.

"Together" we made our way out and waved at everyone as they cheered i giggled. that was when i saw Gale with Rosie and Posy.

"Peeta look" i pointed to them

"go get them." he let go and i ran down the steps Gale let go of the two and lifted me up i laughed.
