Hunger Games - I Volunteer!

we were taken away and was doted on being washed and trimmed, i was waxed and plucked i just stared up thinking of the others and what they were doing. Katniss and Gale would most likely be hunting and trading. i was taken to another room where i laid till the doors opened i sat up.

"i think it was very brave what you did...with your friends." he shook my hand "My name is Cinna"

"Lilly"

"I'm sorry this happened to you and I'm here to help you in any way that i can" he sat down.

"thank you most people say congratulations" he chuckled

"i don't see the point in that. so tonight is the tribute parade we'll take you out and show you off to the world."

"so your here to make me look pretty"

"I'm here to help you make a impression" he altered "now usually the dress people in clothes from their district"

"coalminers" i scrunched my nose

"but i don't want to do that i wanna to do something they will remember. now did they tell you about making sponsors" i nodded

"good because i don't think somebody that brave should be dressed up in some stupid costume" i smiled

"i like you"

i was out with Peeta after being styled and Cinna was talking about setting us on fire.

"it's not real fire. these suits are built so you won't feel a thing"

"looks pretty real to me" Peeta spoke

"that's the idea. now don't be afraid"

"I'm never afraid" i replied and he set me on fire then Peeta Cinna stood back and nodded the carriages left one by one.

"Peeta I'm nervous" i whispered to him he took my hand a we interlocked our fingers.

"don't be I'm right here" the crowds cheered as we headed down.

"you ready" Peeta asked i nodded and we  lifted our interlocked hands up the crowd cheered more and more. we arrived at the end and came to a stop lowering our hands but never letting go. we saw the President take to his stand.

"welcome, welcome" the arena quietened down. "tributes we welcome you. we salute your courage and your sacrifice and we wish you happy hunger games may the odds be ever in your favour."  me and Peeta looked at one another.

"i really don't like him" i mumbled "there has always been something off" he hummed in response and the chariots were taken back.

when we arrived back i noticed i was still holding onto Peeta but i made no move to let go and neither did he.

"that was amazing" Cinna hugged me

"oh we are going to be all anyone is talking about" Effie chirped

"that was brave"

"sure you want be next to a open flame" i smirked

"it was a fake and" he stopped not knowing how to finish or so i thought but then looked back see Cato from district 2

"maybe we should go somewhere more quiet" we agreed and left

"so each other the districts get their own floor and because your 12 you get the penthouse" i gasped as i looked around everything was better than the train.

"your room's are over here why don't you freshen up before dinner." i went and shook my plaits out and washed my face before picking out a blue dress with matching heels before making my way to dinner.

After dinner i went back to my room and saw a control i took it and looked at what i did. it changed the window i left it when it came to a forest and reminded me at home.
