"Stay up!" She yelled. He struggled trying but thankfully they were at his home in Philadelphia. She helped him into the house and saw her car outside. Her sister was there and saw Blaze. "Go get a washcloth!" Cassie screamed. She removed his shirt and saw the wound. He was bleeding badly. His sister bought down a whole first aid kit. Cassie learned how to remove bullets and cover wounds and stuff from her father. He told her she may need to learn one day. She tied a piece of his shirt on his arm to try to stop the blood. Then she used some peroxide and he screamed because of the burning.
"Sorry" She said. She wiped as much of the blood away she could to see, then she took the tweezers and breathed in. "Okay, this is really going to hurt, just try to stay still" She told him. Blaze nodded "Jade, Put the washcloth in his mouth so he has something to bite down on" She did exactly as told. Cassie counted down and then started to take the bullet out of his arm. His screams were muffled by the washcloth and soon, the bullet came out. Some blood started to come out so Cassie cleaned it up a little more. Then she stitched his arm up. After she was all done, He took some Advil and fell asleep. Cassie took another shower and headed to sleep in his room.
When Cassie woke up in the morning, she was wrapped in Blaze's arms. She was trying to move but didn’t want to wake him. He pulled her closer.
"Don’t leave cassie" He said in his sleep. Cassie faced him and looked at his face. He had a few marks from fights, she assumed. She touched his chest and rubbed down to his 6 pack. She pecked him on his lips and then got out of bed.
"Sorry, but your too late" she whispered. She walked downstairs and was about to cook breakfast but instead, Shante was cooking already.
"Good morning" Shante said to Cassie.
"Morning, what are ya making?"
"Bacon, Pancakes, eggs, and hash browns"
"Oh" She stared as Shante mixed the pancake batter together. She offered to help but Shante gave her a stank look and said no thank you. Cassie sat on one of the stools in the kitchen and started downloading more apps on her iPad. As soon as breakfast was ready, Blaze came downstairs. Shante smiled and hugged him.
"Good morning!" She exclaimed.
"Hey, thanks for everything sha" He looked at Cassie. "Hey Cassie"
"Morning, how’s the stitches?"
"Stiches! What the hell happened?!" Shante looked at his arm.
"I got shot; damn it’s no big deal"
"No big deal, what if you would've died!"
"But I didn’t, stop wishing shit like that on me!"
"Im not, it’s just that-"
"Whatever" He said irritated. He sat down next to Cassie who was playing angry birds. "Wow"
"What" She asked.
"You’re a little too old to be playing angry birds"
"And..."
"Nothing" He put his hands up defensively. Everyone ate breakfast together and then Shante left.
As Blaze and Cassie sat in the living room looking at each other, not saying a word, Cassie decided to speak.
"Wassup with ol ‘girl?"
"Whatchu mean?"
"I mean, why the fuck she grilling you like that? She don’t know when to fall back"
Blaze chuckled "She don’t but hell, she like fam, so stop talking about her"
"Or what?"
"Or you can leave my house" She arched her eyebrow "Im just kidding, your father would probably kill me"
"Mmmhmm...But what is Shante your sister?"
"Something like that"
"What’s that supposed to mean?"
"She's like a sister to me"
"Oh" At that moment, Cassie cellphone rang. It was Dante. "Hey baby...nothing much, chillin....actually, im not home...nope, and I don’t think im gonna be home in a long time...about? Whatchu mean?....fuck you mean this isn’t gonna work....oh word?!....Aiight, you know what it's cool, it aint never hard to be on to the next one boo boo, im out, don’t fucking hit me up no more...fuck you!" She hung the phone up.
"Trouble in paradise?" Blaze asked smirking. Cassie gave a fake chuckle and stuck the middle finger up at him.
