Chapter 9

Then I look into his beautiful eyes, and he looks into mine, he starts to lean in.

His lips are right next to mine...

He's about to kiss me...but I push him back.

"I can't" I say quietly

"Why not?" He says, he looks shocked

"Cause Chandler, I just... I just can't"

"Do you not like me or something?"

"No it's just-"

"Wait so you like me? He smirks

"No you didn't let me finish! I've just been through to much tonight okay"

"Okay, but do you like me?"

I don't know what to say.

"I don't know, maybe" I say looking at the ground

"Oh, cause I like you Maddie"

I look up at him

Is he being serious.

"Oh" is all I manage to say. I guess I'm just in shock.

A lot of shock.

"I should probably go" he says

"Ok bye"

"Bye" he says and gets on his dirt bike and goes back to his house.

I go inside and go up to my room. I sit on my bed and think about everything that just happened.

Wow

I grab my phone and check my messages.

I have 3 missed calls from Lily and 2 from Tori and like 10 messages from them both.

I decide to call Lily first. It rings 2 times then she answers.

"Hey were the hell are you, Hana said you two went to use the bathroom and you were looking at something or someone I don't know."

I explained everything that happened to her, then I started crying again.

"Oh Maddie, I'm so sorry, I never liked Dylan that much anyways, don't worry it's gonna be okay"

"I know" I said wiping away a tear, " I just don't know why I'm so sad, it's not worth."

"Yeah. HEY! How about tomorrow, you and me and the girls all go out for ice cream and then we go shopping and we can even have a slumber party at my place"

"Yeah that would be awesome"

"Yay!" She squealed.

"Well I'm tired, I'm gonna go to bed do you mind telling Tori what happened"

"Sure thing. Now go get some rest and be at my house by noon"

"Ok bye"

"Bye" then we hang up

I set my phone on my side table and close my eyes...

- Next day -

I wake up at 10:00.

I go down to get breakfast. My mom, Scott, Tara, Ashley, and Annie. Are sitting at the table eating breakfast.

"Morning sunshine" my mom says

"Morning" I say back

"How was the party" Scott asks

I don't know if I should tell them about Dylan or not...

"I don't wanna talk about it right now"

"Why did something bad happen?" My mom asks

"Yeah kinda, I will tell you about it later"

"Okay sweetie" my mom says, and her and Scott go back to reading there papers.

I love how they aren't so nosy about everything I do, like some parents are.

I grab a pop tart and pour a glass of orange juice.

"Oh and mom, can I sleepover at Lily's today, she invited me and the rest of us"

"Oh okay honey, but before you leave can we talk."

"Sure, oh and where's Gavin? I've rarely seen him at all this week.

"He's probably sleeping right now, he has the flu"

"Oh okay" I say and grab the pop tart and orange juice.

I bring it upstairs and eat it in my room while I text Kaitlin.

After I'm done I get in the shower.

After I get out of the shower I get dressed. I decide to wear a Guns n Roses tank top with fringe at the bottom, regular Hollister jean shorts, and my white converse

After I'm done I pack a small bag with clothes for tomorrow, some money for shopping, my sleeping bag and pillow, and a bunch of snacks.

I also bring some movies.

And since most of my friends like horror and movies like that I also bring The Purge, The Conjuring, and Paranormal Activity (all of them)

I take my stuff down stairs and tell mom I'm leaving, even though it's only 11:45

I walk over to Lilys and knock on the door. Her sister Mckenzie answers the door.

"Hey Maddie what's up" she says and gives me a hug. I love Mckenzie, she's awesome.

Mckenzie is 16 years old. She has this gorgeous brown hair that really long, and really brown eyes that are stunning. She's also super nice and pretty.

Lily has another sister, Sydney. Sydney is 18 years old. She has blonde hair like Lily, but she's kinda mean, but she is a little prettier than Mckenzie.

"Nothing, just here for the sleepover"

"Oh yeah that's right, unfortunately Sydney has a few friends over and they already called the big screen"

"Crap are you serious"

"Yep"

The big screen was there "movie theater" like room they had in there base ment. There's a bunch of comfy chairs and a popcorn and smoothie machine! It's totally awesome!

"Oh well we can watch movies in Lilys room."

"Yeah"

I walk inside and go up to Lilys room. On the way up the stairs I feel a tap on my shoulder. I turn around to see Sydney standing there.

"Listen here Maddie, you and your little friends better not be to loud, because I don't need a bunch of little girls messing up my sleepover"

"Why is it so important?"

"Because smart one! Christina Erins is coming over"

"Umm okay"

Christina Erins was like some really popular and rich senior at our school .

"Whatever" I say and walk up the stairs to Lilys room.
