-Santana’s (POV)-

-Hallway-

I’m at my locker putting my stuff away Coach Sylvester walks up to me.

Coach Sylvester: Lopez I need you in my office now.

Santana: Yes coach.

I walk to her office with her.

-Coach Sylvester’s Office-

Coach Sylvester closes the door and I sit in a chair in front of her desk she sits across from me.

Coach Sylvester: You are probably wondering why I wanted you to come in here.

Santana: The thought crossed my mind.

Coach Sylvester: You’ve been chosen for a scholarship.

Santana: I…I was?

Coach Sylvester: Yes you were the coach at the University of Louisville saw you at a game and they want you on their squad.

Santana: Wow.

Coach Sylvester: All you have to do is sign this paper and the scholarship is yours.

I look at the paper that is on her desk than I start thinking about Dani and what is going to happen to us. She might be in New York and I will be in Kentucky if I chose to take the scholarship.

Santana: Can I think about it?

Coach Sylvester: Of course you have until the end of the school day.

Santana: Thank you.

I get up and walk out of her off.

-Hallway-

When I walk out of the office I run into Rachel.

Santana: Oh I’m sorry Rachel.

Rachel: Oh that’s okay San. What’s up?

Santana: Oh nothing I just got done talking with Coach Sylvester.

Rachel: Oh about what?

Santana: I was chosen for a cheerleading scholarship.

Rachel and I walk down the hall and sit on a bench.

Rachel: Oh my God really?

Santana: Yeah.

Rachel: Did you take it?

Santana: I needed time to think about it.

Rachel: Why? It’s a great opportunity for you.

Santana: I was offered a scholarship from the University of Louisville.

Rachel: That’s in Kentucky.

Santana: Exactly.

Rachel: And Dani might be in New York.

Santana: Yeah and I don’t think that I could be apart from her.

Rachel: Well if you chose to take it you could visit her on your spring break or even on the holidays.

Santana: But that won’t be enough for me I won’t be able to hold her or kiss her when I wanted to.

Rachel: I think that you need to talk to Dani about it, but I’m sure that she is going to tell you to take it.

Santana: Because it will be a great opportunity for me and basically a free ride to college.

Rachel: Exactly.

Santana: I’ll talk to Dani about it.

Rachel: That’s all you can do.

Santana: Yeah thank you Rach.

Rachel: For what?

Santana: For listening to me.

Rachel: Oh you’re welcome I know that we don’t talk much and all, but I do care about you.

Santana: And I care about you too just don’t tell anyone that I do.

Rachel and I smile.

Rachel: Don’t worry I won’t.

Santana: Good.

I sigh and I hear Dani’s laugh I look up and see her with Finn and Kurt they are talking about something when she sees me she smiles I smile back. All three of them walk up to Rachel and me.

Dani: Hi babe.

Santana: Hi baby. Can we talk?

Dani: Of course.

I get up and grab her hand we walk off.

Santana: There is something that I want to talk to you about.

Dani: Okay.

Santana: I was offered a scholarship for cheerleading.

Dani: Babe that’s amazing.

Santana: Yeah but the university is in Kentucky.

Dani: Oh.

Santana: I don’t have to take it.

Dani: No you should San this is a great opportunity for you and a free ride college.

Santana: But you might be in New York.

Dani: I know, but you don’t want to miss out on something like this take it.

Santana: Okay.

I kiss her.

Santana: I love you.

Dani: I love you too.

I walk back to Coach Sylvester’s office I knock on her door.

Coach Sylvester: Come in.

I walk into her office.

Santana: I’m taking the scholarship.

Coach Sylvester: I’m glad.

I sign the paper and hand her the pen back I walk out of the office. Dani is leaning against the wall looking at her phone I’m guessing that she is looking at Facebook or her Twitter. I walk up to her she looks up and smiles.

Dani: You ready to go?

Santana: Yes I am.

Dani and I walk hand in hand and exit the school.

Did you think that it was a good thing for Santana to accept the scholarship?
