Everything was dark from the soft fabric covering my eyes. I had more fabric in my mouth so I couldn't speak. I kicked the roof of the trunk, there was no hope it was locked tightly. I remember breathing hard but then slowly, I knew if I kept breathing hard I would run out of air in here and suffocate. We were driving for what felt like hours, but time was going by slowly. I just wanted to be back at Pop's, sitting with Jughead and Betty, getting to see Archie. None of that was possible now.
The car came to a slamming stop, I hit my head on the wall. I did what could get me freedom, play dead. It was a small chance but it could work. I closed my eyes lightly. Hearing the trunk swing open I held my breath quickly. He picked me up and carried me into what I believed to be a house. He threw me on the ground. It hurt so badly but I held my breath tightly.
"Get up."
I laid there.
"Seriously I don't play games."
He kicked me, making me almost let my breath go.
"Get the hell up!"
I did nothing, he pulled the cloth off my face, my eyes were closed. He did something I hoped he wouldn't do, he felt my neck.
"Okay you have a pulse, but you're holding your breath I can tell."
He grabbed the cloth out of my mouth. I held my breath painfully. He stood up, I heard a step back thinking he would walk away, but all the sudden I felt his shoe ram right into my throat. I broke, gasping for air. He grabbed my face as I was gagging.
"Okay you little liar. Listen to me. You're going to listen to what I say and when I say it. If not you will have a bullet in between your eyes."
I pulled out the cloth from my mouth.
"Screw you."
I said breathless. He threw me to the ground again. I watched his legs head for the kitchen, I crawled over to the corner. Looking for my phone unable to find it. As I was touching my pockets I felt my side, touching the wound from the knife he stabbed me with. I let out a scream. Suddenly I heard footsteps right in front of me.
"Looking for your phone are you? Check the ground outside Pops."
He starred creepily, soon he walked back to the kitchen, looking up I saw the door was unlocked. I stood up weakly and grabbed the door knob and swung the door open. Running losing the breath I didn't have much off, seeing the ground leaving cement and becoming gravel I felt a shock hit my back. It was a taser hitting my spine. Falling to the ground feeling electricity go throw my body. Looking up to see his face.
"I said listen to what I say."
Not speaking he grabbed my arm violently. I walked up the steps of the ugly brown house that had a creaky porch. He threw me in after he opened the door locking it behind him.
The room was dark and quiet. Looking down I saw a dog on a bed in the corner.
"Where's the bathroom?"
"Down the hall to the right."
Walking towards to bathroom I peered into a small bedroom and I saw a girl curled up in a ball in the corner, she was about sixteen.
"Hey it's going to be okay. I'll get us out of here."
"He'll kill you."
"What's your name?"
"Cricket."
That's when I heard floor boards creak. I turned around to find him standing there, grasping my hair and shoved me into the bathroom. He slammed the door and I looked at the door knob, the lock was on the outside.
"No! No! No!"
I pounded on the door hard. I turned around and saw a bathtub, dried blood lined it.
"Oh my god."
Looking up I saw cabinets, I quickly opened them and found bandages and rubbing alcohol. I lifted up my shirt and poured it onto my wound. Bitting my lip keeping me from screaming; so he didn't know what I was doing. I grabbed the bandage and drenched it in rubbing alcohol too. I looked for tape and coming to find duct tape. It had blood across it. I poured alcohol on it as well and wiped it clean. Washing my hands using the little soap I had. I started to duck tape my body and I pulled my shirt down. Hearing a pound on the door I jumped up.
"Get the hell out of the bathroom kid!"
"Okay!" I walked out of the bathroom and he stood tall in front of me. His bright brown eyes locked with mine. He just stared at me, walking past him feeling his eyes still on me. I started running, locking my self in her bedroom. She looked up at me as I had my back at the door.
"What are you doing?"
"Hoping he wasn't going to snap my neck."
"How are you not scared?"
"My mom has always told me just breathe deep and think it's all going to be okay."
"It won't."
I just sat there with my eyes wide. The door knob started to shake hard, I had her hold the door shut as I slid a bookshelf in front of it having her move. I grabbed a chair that was sitting lonely in the corner and I chucked it at the window covered in garbage bags. I heard a crack but there was no break. I started to hit it harder and harder breaking it till it finally shattered. I had her place her foot on my hand and jump out the window.
"Go, go."
I whispered as she started to jump to the ground and I started to pull my self up. I could only hear my heart beat, but I was to late with half my body out the window I felt hands around my ankles. He threw me to the ground punching my face, I just looked out the window in the room that had dark blue paint, seeing her run up the road. I had hope.
