Chapter 22

Alexander drove home happily with his mind at ease, he just had to wait 2 weeks to know his results. The sunset was beautiful with hues of blue and purple painted across the sky as he drove down the last stretch of road before he got home. It was a plesant day and it was about to get even better as he parked next to Anabella's jeep. He strolled into the house to find it in complete darkness,

"Baby?" he shouted into the room, tossing his bag on the couch, he planned to tell her about the whole Destiny situation and maybe take her out dancing. After their dance on the top floor of the hotel he was longing to go dancing with her. "Ana?" he pushed open the bedroom door to find it empty but his nostrils picked up the refreshing scent of vanilla, and the room seemed a bit hazy, he made his way back to his bag to call her.

Maybe she went to get food or something.

He thought picking up his phone to call when he heard her phone ringing in the kitchen, he followed the sound, he found her leaned up against the counter backing him. He walked up behind her as he usually did, placing his hands on her hips pulling her against his body,

"There you are" his voice dropped in depth as he pulled at her shorts, she turned around and gave him a weak smile,

"Hi"

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" he asked noticing her uninterested expression,

"Yea, everything is fine" at the sound of that 'F' word a warning siren went off in his head, he searched her face for any signs of anger or sadness but there was none. Her face was a blank slate, emotionless as she stood before him.

Maybe I shouldn't tell her now.

He thought looking at her, she wore a hoodie and her arms were folded across her chest,

"Did I do something, Ana? What happened?" he persisted, she smiled again a little brighter, then it was followed by a giggle,

"I'm good, I swear" at the sight of that smile and the sound of her cheery giggle he felt his lips lift into his own smile,

"We have to talk about something"

"Oh? Its only been a few days and we're having a 'talk'?" her eyebrows shot up and he chuckled, leading her to the living room where he gestured for her to sit on the couch. She followed the instruction sitting down and he sat next to her,

"I have something to tell you" he said looking her in her eyes, she nodded and he sighed,

"So on Saturday Jeremy invited me to this house party that his friend was holding" she stared at him while he spoke, "I went with him and I realized he was trying to set me up with this girl, Destiny, the girl who said she was my neighbor"

"Mhm"

"I didn't want her, so I basically treated her bad and called her a whore and she got angry and stormed off and I thought that would be the last time I saw her, but I was trying to get a beer and the bartender was ignoring me until she came and she told him to give me it and he did" he paused looking at her, while he couldn't read the expression on her face, "I felt a little dizzy and I blacked out the next thing I remembered was waking up outside of the party with no recollection of what happened. Until yesterday, it turns out I was drugged and I had sex with her, I got tested today and I have to wait for the results. Finally, she tried to blackmail me into having sex with her again or she would send out pictures of us, Ana I'm really sorry for not telling you" he ended taking her hand and holding it as he looked down. She gave his hand a light squeeze and he felt free of the secret finally.

"You're such a liar" she spat dragging her hand from his, his gaze quickly went from the floor to her, who had so many emotions on her face,

"I'm not lying, I swear" he replied frowning at her,

"And a good actor too" she rolled her eyes, storming from the couch next to him,

"Ana wait! I'm not lying" he followed her quickly as she made her way to the bedroom, "Just wait!" he followed quickly when she turned around on her heel to face him and he almost bumped into her,

"Why! For you to lie to my face like you just did!" she hissed,

"I'm not lying to you" was all he could say, his worst fear was unfolding before his eyes,

"So she wasn't your girlfriend?" her shorter body marched towards him aggressively and he backed down. This was a new side of Anabella he was seeing,

"What? No" he replied and a sinister laugh escaped her,

"Oh really? She told me you would say she wasn't your girlfriend. Unbelievable!" she huffed turning again quickly,

"Babe, just listen to me" he said grabbing her wrist, she fought him trying to get her hand from his, he pulled her to him,

"Let go of me! I can't believe you're lying to my face"

"ANA!" he shouted and she shuddered at his eruption as he held her against the wall, the fear in her eyes made him release his hold on her. He sighed as she was staring at him fearfully "I'm sorry" he hung his head in front of her, "She was not my girlfriend, I met her that same night, I know nothing about her, whatever she told you was all a lie" his pained voice sounded as he looked up to her and the tears pooled in her eyes,

"I don't believe you" her voice was shaky as she spoke,

"I can prove that it's a lie" he rubbed her arms pulling her into a hug, she whimpered into his chest, "Just let me prove it" he said again resting his head on hers.

"Okay" She whispered into his chest "One more thing", she pulled away looking up at him, "She's pregnant"

"What! You're lying" his jaw dropped, and she looked up at him with teary eyes.

Because let me tell you I got tested and I swear it was such a scary experience, especially when I got the results, I was sitting with my heart thumping in my chest until the lady gave me a sweet smile and told me I was good. Still a scary ass experience but worth it.
