Chapter 11: Day of the Funeral

It was an open casket for Nate's funeral. It was at 12:00. So everyone was up and getting ready at 7:00.

Hazel was wearing a black dress shirt that was lacy on the sleeves. And a semi short black skirt with a pair of black heels. She didn't want to look to comfortable or slutty...

Piper was wearing a short dress. It was black. Then she was wearing nylons that were clear. She was wearing a necklace Nate gave her on valentines day. And her heels were black with the toes open.

Connor wore a black button up shirt and a pair of dress pants. His shoes were brown dress shoes cause he didn't have any black ones. His hair was still brown and he gelled it up. His braces were now a different color. They were bright neon orange.

Zander doesn't dress up like EVER! So he wore an Pierce the Veil sweatshirt because it was black #1 and #2 it was Nate's favorite band. He wore black skinny jeans, a black beanie, and his stomach wrap for the ribs, and a cast for the sprained wrist.

*ZANDER'S POV:*

I am not fucking ready for this funeral. I promised myself I won't cry. But I am not too sure. I miss him! And I have been listening to his favorite songs, Do it now remember it later, by sleeping with sirens. And all time low weightless.

When it was 11:50 they got into the car.

CONNOR'S POV:

I never really liked Nate. I mean we never had a problem but I could tell when he got back he hated me for liking Piper. I just feel bad that he died. But it REALLY hit Zander. But he is feeling a little better considering since he woke up I have been pulling Hazel away so he can finish getting ready for Hazels surprise...

3rd person POV:

When they got to the funeral, right away all of them had a sad feeling and Piper felt as she was gonna throw up. When they got to say their goodbyes Zander was gonna go last. Hazel went first.

"Nate, when I first met you, you welcomed me right away. And you made sure that no one was mean to me... I thank you for that. And you acted as my little brother through it all and I loved you like a brother and still do... We will all miss you Nate. Rest. In. Piece. Buddy." Hazel said smiling leaning in and patting his cold hand.

Connor was now going up. "Hey look Nate, I know that maybe we weren't best friends, but you seemed to be a pretty cool dude. And I am sorry if you didn't like me I am hoping you will forgive me for whatever I did. I hope you are at peace. Bye." Connor said walking away. He looked emotionless.

Piper walked up there with tears already in her eyes. She got to the casket. "Nate... I think you were probably one of my true loves... You made me laugh. And you made me feel wanted. When I was down you helped me back up. Without you they would have left me at the before! You basically saved my life! And I couldn't thank you enough.... I wish we could have gone to prom together.... I would have wore a pinkish purple dress and you would have worn an awesome tux. But I will miss you and I will see you on the other side. I love you... Rest in peace." Piper Said leaning into the casket and kissing Nate on the cold forehead. Tears now streaming down her face. There were actually lots of people there. A couple of people that looked farmiliar but none of them could place the faces.

But Zander is the last one to say goodbye to Nate.

"Nate I am so sorry! It is all my fault. It should have been me! I will always love you little bro! I can't say anymore..." Zander said bawling. Then he looked around.

"Her!" He screamed running towards a woman with blonde hair. She was wearing a black dress. She was holding a about a 5 year olds hand.

"Zander honey is that you?! I haven't seen you forever! I came when I found out when Nate's funeral was. I am so sorry! I missed you..." She said and Zander got a really angry face.
