Chapter 22: I Can Do That

"I'm gonna go on a walk..." Zander said running outside. He always goes on runs.

"Wanna see my tricks, I used to do gymnastics and cheer.." Hazel said and Ryan snorted.

"You! Cheer! gymnastics! No! But kk show me.." He said. His lips weren't swollen anymore.

Hazel put on the song Problem, by Ariana Grande. "Wanna see the scorpion, or the bow and arrow first?" She asked stretching. He laughed.

"Umm the first one..." Ryan said with a sarcastic grin.

"So the scorpion..." She said pulling herself up from the stretch. She did the scorpion. Then the bow and arrow. Then she showed him flips and stuff.

"You act like I don't know this kinda stuff...." Ryan said smiling. Hazel raised an eyebrow.

"What do you mean.." She wondered and he gestured for her to back up. He ran and did a front flip then did a backflip.

"Wow! Impressive..." Hazel said and Ryan scowled.

"What? You didn't think a 7 foot teenage boy could do flips?" He asked flipping his hair out of his face.

She smiled. "Nope..." Then she turned to run to her room and grap her phone charger but her pant leg got stuck on the table. Then she started to fall.

RYAN'S POV:

Being stupid.. Then Hazel turned to walk somewhere then I saw her start to fall. If she fell that way she could hit her head on the corner of the table, so I grabbed her and pulled her close to me so she didn't fall.

For about a minute without speaking we stared into each other's eyes. Her blue green eyes were so innocent and perfect I couldn't help myself, I leaned in for the kiss. Before I knew it our lips met. I didn't think she would, but after about 20 seconds she kissed back.

HAZEL'S POV:

I felt all Ryan's piercings against me as our lips met. I couldn't kiss him! I am in love with Zander... But this felt so wrong but so right. Am I a slut? I hope not. But I am gonna kiss back just once... I love Ryan, but like a brother....

When we were done kissing, I had some serious questions. "Ryan tell me about your brothers and sisters..." I asked but I don't want to hear about his injuries.

"Promise not to tell anyone?" He asked with a sad face. He looked like a puppy.

"Of course!" I said giving him a reassuring look. He nodded.

"Well I don't have a family... I live in a foster care thing. Foster home is what it is called. The other kids my age there don't like me. So they like to beat me up and stuff...." He said laying his head on my shoulder.

"Wait. Who was at the hospital then.." I asked confused and scared at the same time.

"I don't know... I am worried about that because my foster people there said they didn't go there.... It is really freaking me out." He said and I winced. Could he be in danger, just like how Piper was? I don't want him to go missing like Piper!

Piper was getting bony. She hasn't really eaten. They gave her food but she didn't like it.

The boy with the mask came in. "Piper. Eat. Please.." He said pushing her bangs out of her face. She frowned.

"I am not hungry. And why do you care." She said turning away from him.

"I missed the chance to tell you I love you... But of course I care! Piper I always have cared. You may think I kidnapped you but I am the only thing that is keeping them from killing you... But there is one consequence for you living.... They want someone else..." The boy said playing with her hair. She turned towards him.

"Who do you think they will take?" She asked and he shrugged.

"I keep asking them to take me... I mean kill me... But they are leaning towards that boy Ryan.. Cause he has no family to notice he is gone...." The boy said and Piper sighed.

"That doesn't mean they can kill him!" She yelled and he shhhed her. "Sorry sorry I am getting worked up..." Piper said.
