Chapter 27: She's Alive

"Dad! Stop!" But when the dad pulled the trigger, Brent felt himself throw his body in front of Piper's.

BRENT'S POV:

I felt the cold bulled plunge into my shoulder blade. Thank god only my shoulder. Then I hit the ground with a hard thud.

THIRD PERSON:

"Brent! OMG! What the fuck is wrong with you?" Piper asked kicking the gun out of his hand. She had taken karate when she was younger.

"You bitch!" Brady yelled and went after her. He grabbed her and wrestled her to the ground.

She kicked him off her and moved towards the gun. But he pulled her back. By now they were both fighting towards the gun. Brady kicked Piper so far she hit her head on the wall and passed out.

"Piper!" Brent forced out. It was a hoarse shout but she still heard it before she passed out.

Brady went scrambling towards the gun. Brent grabbed it and shot his brother right in the head. Next his father who was on the ground after Piper kicked the gun out of his hand.

"Say goodnight you filthy bastard!" Brent yelled pulling the trigger. His shoulder hurt really bad and was gushing with blood but he couldn't feel it with all the adrenaline pumping through his body.

He grabbed his phone and called 911. "911 what's your emergency?" The operator said to him over the line. He was starting to pass out.

"My family and friend were shot by someone. They took the gun with them..." He said, his voice still hoarse.

After he told the address he hung up looking for a chance to throw the gun. He pushed it into the spot behind the toilet and then finally passed out on the floor.

"Is this Connor Quint speaking?" A female voice on the other line said.

"Yes this is... May I ask what the reason of this call is?" He asked with his morning voice. He had just woken up considering it was 7:00 am.

"This is regarding Piper, she has been injured with some other people..... Only two have survived, and she is one of them...." The lady said and Connor jumped up and changed still on the phone.

"What's the hospital name and what room is she in?" He asked already walking out the door. He was wearing black basketball shorts, and a neon green muscle shirt. His hat was purple. Yah he had started pulling out his hair again. So he had to wear the hats...

When she gave him the name and room he got in his car and sped to the hospital without a care in the world except her.

He ran up to the desk. "Piper." He said to the lady and she signaled him to come with her. They raced down the hallway to room 29.

"She is sleeping so don't bother her but yah... Here she is..." The nurse said leaving him with Piper.

"I'm so sorry I let you get kidnapped! It was all my fault and I am so glad that you didn't die..." He said intertwining his fingers with hers.
