Until a little while ago
Until a little while ago,
It all belonged to you,
My whole body and being
Meant nothing on their own
My feet,
They were always headed towards you
My heart,
You were the only one it was beating for
My eyes
Were always getting lost in yours
My lips,
You're the only one they ever said those three words to
My ears,
Mesmerized by your every word
My shoulders
That happily carried your every worry
My hands,
They always wanted to touch you
Until a little while ago,
This all belonged to you,
My whole body and being
But now I can finally see
What you no longer mean to me
My feet,
They want to run in the opposite direction
My eyes,
They caught you cheating
My ears,
No longer hear your excuses
My shoulders,
No longer care about your worries
My lips,
They are no longer able to say your name
My heart
It is now broken into a million pieces
And last but not least
My back,
The last part of me you'll ever see
Until a little while ago,
It all belonged to you,
My whole body and being
But now I finally know
That I'm perfectly capable
To function on my own
