Pleading Guilty
There was a time when love wasn't a sin
When love was the only thing required
Back then, no material things mattered
Love was the sole thing a heart desired
Times changed and love was no longer enough
Love stopped being what you chased your whole life
No longer did love become reality
It stopped to exist, even in dreams
Love simply disappeared in front of our eyes
Loving someone became a crime
Money was now the first priority
Power became the new goal in life
Name and career were the most aspired
The rumor spread like a burning fire
Of someone with a wicked heart and mind
It was said that there were two lovers
They didn't care for anything else but each other
Who dared to love in these harsh times?
Who decided to give love another try?
Who promised eternal love and didn't mind?
Who managed to put wealth and reputation aside?
There's no denying it any longer, it is me
I plead guilty, I'm the one who's head over heels
I love him with my whole heart
Not to mention, every single fiber of my being
I don't care about the tales and gossip around town,
I know what I did and I still wear my pride
Willingly, I've put my heart and soul on the line
It's none of your business, I can't see why you'd mind
However, you won't ever hear me say that I regret it
Because honest to God, that would be a lie
You can accuse me of anything you want
Just keep in mind that I'm a lover, not a liar
