Chapter 12: Legal matters

Captain George Stacy was not prepared for what he would see when he entered the abandoned Rand building.
"Holy crap" Captain Stacy said as he saw a kid he knew on the ground knocked out.... Peter Parker.
"Captain Stacy, do you know this kid?" asked another police officer. Captain Stacy nodded.
"He goes to school with my daughter" Captain Stacy answered. Stacy then noticed a hole in the wall and walked inside it.
"Again... holy crap" Captain Stacy said as he saw an old man with a sword shoved into his chest, dead, along with a knocked out Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Jessica's attorney Matthew Murdock.
"What the heck happened here that Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and 2 random civilians got knocked out cold... and the old dead guy?" asked a freaked out rookie cop.
"I don't know. But I think I know a person who will be eager to find out" Captain Stacy replied.

When Peter Parker woke up, he was in an interrogation room.
"Oh man... where am I?" Peter asked before he saw that he was at a table.
"Whoa!" Peter said before a female voice spoke up.
"Calm down. I am a friend of Luke's. I just spoke with Jessica... and the others are ok kid. I'm a friend. I'm Detective Misty Knight" said the female voice. Peter looked up to see a young African American woman with curly hair looking at him. (I'm not that great at character discriptions guys~ Sage)
"So you're Misty Knight. Captain Stacy says your one of the best detectives in the force." Peter said calmly. Misty smiled.
"And Captain Stacy told me you are Peter Parker. You are so young and yet you are one of the best news photographers out there, taking those pictures of Spider-Man for the Daily Bugle" Misty replied, she really was impressed by Peter's photography skills, how this boy got shots as someone as elusive as Spider-Man was unknown, but Peter did, maybe he was a photography prodigy or something.
"Peter, Jessica told me that there was a person there who was strong enough to knock out her and Luke... did you see that person?" Misty asked. Peter shook his head.
"Not clearly. You see I went inside to take pictures of the interior of that building since there was going to be a story printed on Rand enterprises making a new subsidary with that building. Then I heard sounds of a fight and thought it might have been a Spider-Man battle. I went to get some pics and turns out I was wrong. Right before I even thought to call the police, which is probably what I should have done, the person tossed me through the wall." Peter explained, inwardly impressed with how he was able to come up with this story. Misty sighed and nodded.
"You're lucky nothing is broken kid" Misty replied. Peter nodded.
"Look, I'll release you now. You went through a lot as it is." Misty said.

When Peter got out of the interrogation room Ned Leeds and Gwen Stacy ran towards him.
"Holy crap Peter!" Gwen said in shock.
"Dude you look like a mess" Ned said.
"Hey, give the kid some space, he's been through a lot" said the voice of Misty.
"Yes ma'am/Sure, but I'll be sure to tell May you are out." Gwen/Ned said respectively. Peter looked at Misty.
"Look kid, before I go I want to say this.... a friend of George Stacy is a friend of mine, and so is the family of Mary Parker. If you need anything... just be sure to come by and I'll see if I can help" said Misty. Peter looked at Misty in shock.
"Wait, how do you know my mom?" asked Peter. Misty gave a small smile.
"I went to school with her. She was my best friend." Misty replied before walking away.

Peter walked to where May was and she hugged Peter. May looked around and saw there was no one other than Peter and herself in the room.
"It's a good thing you weren't wearing the suit" May said softly. Peter nodded.
"Yeah, I don't need my identity going public like Luke, Jessica, or Mr. Stark" Peter replied. Peter sighed.
"What happened?" May asked.
"Danny Rand is a guy called the Iron Fist, he has powers like my other new friends and is the one chosen to stop the enemies we are fighting against. Some chick working for the enemy beat us, used Luke Cage as a baseball bat to knock me out, and took Danny Rand. Oh and she killed an old man named Stick" Peter answered. May looked at Peter in shock.
"Holy crap. Is the cops going hard on you?" May asked. Peter shook his head.
"No, who would have thought working for Jameson would have came in handy. I explained I was there to take news photos, but got caught in the crossfire." Peter explained. May nodded.
"Well, your friends need you. You should go to them if you can' May said and Peter nodded.
