Jack led me down a trail of roses. i didn't expect much. i never really want much. a simple apology would have been just fine. i love jack and i was willing to forgive him if he was willing to try.
"i hope you'll like it." jack muttered breaking the comfortable silence we had been walking in since i met up with him.
"im sure i will." i replied feeling a bit guilty but not exactly sure why.
we walked a little farther down and then i saw the candles. i immediately began crying.
"did i do something wrong? im so sorry please don't cry" he said while rubbing my back.
"you didn't do anything. its perfect," i mumbled pressing my lips to his. i caught him off guard but once he realized he immediately kissed back.
