It was so great to be back in Durban. Bea could not wait to tell her friends about her trip. When they arrived at their house, they found Carly and Cloe sitting on the stoop. They were so excited to see Beatrice. They immediately went up to her room where she started telling them about her trip. Her friends couldn’t believe everything they heard. They were surprised when Bea told them about Henry and Garry. They couldn’t believe she actually managed to stop them. They were also surprised to hear that Beatrice telling Vio about the necklace was really worth it. They couldn’t believe she was on her way to controlling the necklace. They asked her to control it. But it only glowed once in a while. And Bea found it hard to do it when people were watching her.
“I’m just forcing myself.” She said “Or I don’t desire what I’m wishing for hard enough.” She said letting go of her necklace after finding that nothing was happening
“What is that?” asked Cloe
“I’m craving for something sweet like chocolate.”
“Well, let’s go to the candy store that’s right around the corner.” Said Carly
“Really? Now I’m jet legged.”
“Okay. We’ll go tomorrow.” Said Carly
The girls chattered all through the day. Carly and Cloe couldn’t stop asking Beatrice questions. By each question she answered, the more they knew what an incredible adventure she really had. When she told them about the mysterious man, they found it hard to believe like most people.
“A man who just appears and disappears all of a sudden to who knows where? Are you sure you and Vio were not imagining things?” Asked Cloe
“Of cause I am sure. I know it’s hard to believe, but it’s true. It was so scary guys.” She said.

Home at night

Beatrice had gone to check up Tom in his room. He was busy on his computer. Bea thought it was work but it wasn’t. He was researching on an island called the Caribbean. He was planning on them going to spend some of their summer vacations there. Beatrice was surprised that he would choose an island for a summer vacation. But Tom said he wanted to try something different for a change. He was arranging with family members and friends so they can go. Tom invited Lyla as well. Other people who were going were Aunt Marie, Holy and Kevin, Cody and Cecil, and perhaps Uncle Tim if he was not busy. Uncle Tim agreed to pay even though he wasn’t sure he was going.
“Out of all the trips in the world you choose an island. I mean, do you know how many things can go wrong on an island.” Said Bea
“Nothing is going to make me change my mind Bea. Everything is already set, and I like it. Look at how beautiful this land is.” He said before showing her the picture in his computer screen
“Everything looks better on a picture dad.” She said
“Come on Bea, you’ll love it. Wasn’t I right about the trip to Johannesburg? What would make this any different?”
“Fine, but can Carly and Cloe come?”
“Off cause”
Bea thought and realized that her father was right. It was time for them to do something different for a change.

Monday evening: at the candy store

“We are going to an island for a vacation.” Asked Cloe in a confused tone
They were at the candy store when Beatrice was telling them all about the trip Tom had come up with. The candy store was a happy place where most kids living in the area go to. It was very colorful inside it and very beautiful as well. It had different combined colors on the wall. It had these cute little tables that costumers sit on. The place was always packed with customers. Bea and her friends were sitting down on one of the tables talking.
“I know it’s hard to believe. But maybe it won’t be so awkward I mean it will be nice to try something different for a change. So, are you guys coming?”  Asked Beatrice
“I’m going to have to negotiate with my parents.” Said Carly
“Me as well” Said Cloe

At home
“Where were you?” asked Tom
“With Carly and Cloe at the candy store” She replied.
“I’m guessing you have already told them about the trip.”
“Yes. But they said they’re going to have to negotiate with their parents.”
“Well, tell them to negotiate fast because we are going tomorrow.” He said
Beatrice was surprised to hear that since they just got back from Durban. She asked what the rush was. Tom said that there was no time to waste and that they should have time to enjoy their summer vacation while they still can. Everybody who was going to the island had already paid. The money was enough for them to go for a week. He had already booked flight for everyone. There was a house they were going to be staying in at the island. He showed Beatrice the picture of the house. She was impressed. It was a very stylish and beautiful house. It looked just like a beach house. It was very big. It had wooden walls, a wooden floor and big windows downstairs. Even though it was a shock for Bea to be going on another vacation so soon after they had come back from Huston Taxes, she thought and realized that there was nothing exciting they were going to be doing in Durban. And she too wanted to enjoy her summer vacation while she still could.
