Everybody was excited when they got to the island. They looked out of the window of the jet to see the view of the island. The pilot landed in front of the ocean. They got outside with their suitcases and walked the rest of the way. Tom said the house was not so far from there, but it felt like they had been walking for ages. The ground was very steep, so it was hard for them to walk. After what seemed like a long time of walking, they finally arrived at the house. It was midnight when they arrived. Everyone went to sleep.Wednesday morning
Bea surveyed the house as she hadn’t had the vigor to even judge it last night. It was a very elegant house and was made up of a lot of glass which brought vivacity and made a person feel at ease and it allowed the bright sun to shine in through. She sighed as she looked at the beauty of this island. The green lives and plants were so rich and alive that instead of them seeming scary, they only seemed like ecstatic nature.
“Hey.” She had heard Cody saying from behind her. He had been sleeping in the boy’s room with Cecil and Kevin which was the room next to her and her best friends and Holy. The rooms were pretty big that they had enough space for them all to fit.
“Hey.” Bea smiled after she whirled around to look at his gorgeous face that always made her feel butterflies in her stomach and feel her heart racing a mile a minute.
“Morning Bea.” Cecil said walking in haste past both of them and into the boy’s room. Bea was about to reply when she heard him say, “Hurry up and get changed because we’re going for a hike.”
Not that Cecil liked to control everything, but when it came to fun, he did.
They immediately changed their clothes to go for a hike as everyone agreed it was a great idea. After all who wouldn’t want to explore a nature that beautiful? The adults wanted to eat breakfast first.
“Kids, you shouldn’t go out there alone. It’s not safe.” Said Tom grabbing an apron which made Bea hope he wasn’t going to burn the food.
“I thought you are the one who said it was safe here. Remember?” said Bea with a suspicious smile
“Aren’t you going to have breakfast first?” Asked Aunt Marie said from the coffee table where she was sitting with Lyla
“We will each take an apple.” Said Cecil before grabbing an apple by the kitchen table. He was really insisting on this hike thing.
“Okay. But be careful.”
They decided to walk towards south because it was easier to climb downhill. They came across a red plant. It was arid and gnarled. It had fins that liked like they poke the finger off you hand with a brown trunk.
“How beautiful.” Said Kevin before he held out his hand to touch it
“Don’t touch it.” Said Cody before he yanked him away from the plant. “It’s poisonous.”
“Really?” Kevin asked in scare right before looking at his hand for any sign of the plant on his hand. He was a brave kid, but that didn’t mean he wasn’t afraid of death.
“Guys.” Shrieked Carly with scare. She was standing a few feet behind Bea and the rest. She was shivering with fright and she looked like she had been impaled. He hands were shaking along with the rest of her body and she was trying her best to be still. When everyone looked at her, they saw a scorpion on her elbow. It was moving with tiny steps one her brown skin along her left arm. She was half eyeing it with her eyes squinted to show scare
“That might be the most deadly scorpion in the world.” Said Cody. He knew everything that was poisonous and the one he was seeing now was making him shake too even though the scorpion wasn’t on him
“Carly, don’t move.” Said Beatrice before holding the necklace on her neck.
She knew she could do it only if she could want more with the heart, than she knew with the mind. She had to. She wasn’t going to let Carly die without at least trying to save her. She endeavored desiring to get the scorpion of Carly’s neck. She shut her eyes tight and made her mind go blank. Now the only thing that was on her mind was Carly and her life. She endeavored harder but tried not to force her-self. She had to really want it and right now, she wanted it more than anything at that moment. She thought about how magic wasn’t meant to make her a freak, but how it was meant to make her special, unique and extraordinary. It started to heat. Then it escalated. She kept her eyes closed as it glowed explosively. She could feel the necklace glowing even more. She was doing it! When she opened her eyes, she saw the scorpion fall off Carly’s neck and on to the ground and then it started to run away. For a moment, there was no sound. Everyone was just staring at the necklace on her. Then Cecil said
“How the heck did you do that?”
The girls started talking at once. Bea couldn’t believe it. She decided to wish for something else that she desired. It took a bit of effort but it appeared. She finally knew how to control the necklace even when someone is staring at her.
“That’s incredible.” Said Holy
A man was walking in the forest when he saw a bright light glowing to his right. He followed it and found the kids chattering with excitement. The light had stopped glowing, so he couldn’t see what it was. Then Beatrice wished for something again. That’s when the man saw it with his own eyes. The kids didn’t notice him because he was hiding behind a tree. Unable to hide his excitement, he ran straight to his canoe and canoed all the way to a pirate boat. He got inside and found the captain. With no time to waste he said
“I saw a magical necklace. It could finally help us to accomplish our dream.”
“That’s exactly the reason you are my favorite pirate Felix.” Said the captain
“A teenage girl has it.” He said
“Ancient pirates.” The captain said to everyone in the ship. “We have finally found another magical necklace that can help us rule the world.” He intoned.
